In the study, Lucas Griffin stood by the window, smoking. His thick eyebrows knitted deeply as he looked out at the night with a gaze filled with somber thoughts.
Upon hearing Amanda Jenkins's voice, he hurriedly extinguished his cigarette, sat down at his desk, and picked up some documents in one hand and lifted his coffee cup with the other.
As the sound of the door opening echoed, Lucas took a sip of his coffee and looked towards the entrance.
It wasn't Amanda Jenkins who appeared but...
A leg appeared instead.
A snow-white, smooth leg.
"Cough..." Lucas suddenly choked on his coffee.
The slender and fair leg stepped out elegantly, followed by Amanda walking in.
She didn't enter the bedroom but leaned against the door, running her fingers through her hair as she turned to look at him, "Lucas."
Lucas was momentarily taken aback.
