"That should be the last of them" Ann muttered while catching her breath. "Aren't you tired at all?" looking at Xia who still able to maintain her composure Ann asked. "Nah... I'm used to it" Xia said with a calm face.

Gazing at her you could not believe that this calm and gentle girl would actually be an assasin. Ann kept staring at her with admiration. The moon shone brightly tonight revealing her fair white skin while her pitch black hair flowed softly behind her back as the wind blows. Xia looked up and closed her eyes while exhaling lighty. Her eyelashes are long her lips are rosy, a charming face gave away her wealthy background.

"It's odd to think that someone like you wouldn't retaliate against your family after what they've done to you" Ann smiled while looking at the city from the rooftop of the building their on "forcing you into this kind of job that you don't like-" "who told you that I don't like this" Xia interrupted her. Turning to Xia with a confused look "Am I wrong?". "Well you're not wrong but I think being out here is much more ideal for me than staying indoors" Xia replied. Ann turned back her gaze into the city *well I guess that's nice of her instead of being greedy... Freedom is something that I can agree with*

"Let's go... We still have school tomorrow" Xia said while walking away with Ann leaving everything behind. Next morning, the sun's rays shone brightly through the curtains of the room. The light carefully touched the princess' face. 'KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK' The door is slowly opening and a man late in his forties came in carrying a breakfast platter.

"Miss Xia, it's time to wake up" the old man said as he tidy up the table for Xia's breakfast. "Thank you for the meal John" Xia said while trying to keep herself from falling back to sleep. "Tell me, is father home?" Butler John look at Xia with a sigh "Im afraid not madam, he left early this morning", disappointed Xia resumed into her morning routine.

Xia boarded the car on the way to the university she goes to. Looking out of the window Xia is lost in her thoughts once more. "Xia your grandfather asks for your presence after school" John said while looking back at her using the rear-view mirror. "Okay... I have no plans for tonight so I guess I'll come" "Miss Xia, are you okay?" John asked. Looking at a girl with a calm face doesn't make it easy to know what she is thinking.

John is Xia's butler since she was young, knowing his master. He knows very well that Xia doesn't like anyone to snoop around her personal stuff even for emotions. "I'm fine... thank you John" Xia reassured John with a gentle smile.

At the gate of the university a cheerful girl suddenly gave Xia a warm hug. "So early in the morning and you still have that look" Ann complained after seeing Xia with the usual face she have everyday. "It's not like there's something I should be excited of" Xia said as she continued to walk inside.

Ann pouted but quickly followed her, entering the main hall of the university. "Ann, sorry I have plans later this afternoon, are you alright going back to your house alone? I gotta rush back to my grandparents' house tonight" "It's fine.... but what does your grandparent need from you?" Ann asked. Xia just gave a sigh for the answer and entered their classroom.

"Xia, I heard that there will be a transfer student in our class" Ann informed, again Xia didn't actually care. "Why are people so excited just because there's a new face... you actually see tons of strangers outside so what's the deal" Xia said indifferently. Ann realized that her friend is in a bad mood.

"I'm sorry" Ann whispered. She knew very well that angering her friend right now is a bad idea.

Xia is born a genius, she thinks logically so expect that she is sarcastic. She also has big mood swings depending on what pops up in her mind, because of this she rarely talks. She stays away from people knowing that they will only look down on her because of her abnormality.

Fifth period began. "Everyone please welcome our new student" the teacher proclaimed. Just a sight of everyone's faces clearly shows how much anticipation they have for the newcomer. Xia rolled her eyes and gazed out of the window. "Everyone this is Vincent Roswell he just transferred here so I expect that you will show him a warm welcome in our university".

"Ms. Vanderwood!" Xia looked at the front of the class bothered by the mention of her name. "Xia, you should act like a decent lady for your age... This attitude of your's is unacceptable!".

*What's the point of this?* sighed Xia stood up and walked towards the door. "Where are you going?!" the teacher shouted furiously but Xia give no attention and just proceeded out of the room. "Ann, if you don't talk to Xia about her attitude in class... I'm afraid I will report this to her parents" the teacher complained at Ann. "Sir I believe that you should already talk to her parents about this... I mean you always ask me when it comes to this kind of stuff" Ann knew from the start that the teacher has no courage to actually talk to Xia's parents. Hearing Ann's words, it seems the teacher suddenly had a change in heart "coughs cough..... well let's move on with the topic... As for you Vincent I apologize for the scene Xia made, you can now take a seat".

Ann found Xia at the library reading a novel she has yet to finish. Wearing headphones so that she won't be distracted. " Your name is Xia right?" A voice suddenly appeared out of nowhere that surprised Ann but Xia remained quiet, still reading, totally not aware about her surroundings. Ann pulled Vincent away from Xia anxiously.

They found themselves behind a shelf, just enough that they could still peek at Xia. Perplexed Vincent asked "Was that necessary?" "Unless you want to see her angry-- don't you dare interrupt her".

"Despite her angel charms, she's not the nicest person there is" Ann warned Vincent remained quiet while Ann peeked back at Xia. "Spying on me?" Ann was shocked when she recognized that voice. Turning to see Xia quickly, she was faced with a suspicious look. "Xia!! didn't know you were here" Ann exclaimed cheerfully trying to make it look like nothing has ever happened. "Ann did you really think that I would not know?" Xia sighed.

"It was not her" Vincent protested. "She just wants you to enjoy your time" "I know that also I'm not mad at all" Xia replied with a smile. "Well time for me to go.... see ya" Xia waved her hand as she walked away.

Xia stepped out of the car facing the Starlight Mansion. "Ms. Xia, your grandparents are waiting" a butler from the mansion who came to greet Xia. "Very well let's go" Xia said approaching the mansion.

Xia found her grandparents having tea at the lounge. "Fair greetings to both grandfather and grandmother" "Honey, there's no need to be formal... just call us granny and grandpa like you always do as a kid" Mrs. Vanderwood said as she smiled seeing her only granddaughter sa charming as always.

"Grandfather, you asked for my presence?" Xia didn't beat around the bush. Mr. Vanderwood placed down his teacup and faced Xia with a serious face "Your brother is coming back at the country in a week... but that is not our concern" Xia confused with her grandparents response she continued to listen quietly "What we are concerned about is you".

Smart as she is, she is starting to have a clear picture about the whole thing. "Xia, an arrange marriage to you is discussed right now.... I know we agreed not to invovle you in such things–" Mr. Vanderwood sighed. "There's no need to be afraid about their threats of our standing.... Don't worry grandfather, I've already taken care of this matter". Astounded Mr. Vanderwood froze. "Do you remember the time I asked how much their shares are worth... well it seems you already know then everythings settled no need to worry"

Mrs. Vanderwood smiled, she haven't realised how capable and dependent Xia has become. "When did you bought Mr. fin's shares?" Mr. Vanderwood asked curiously. "Just last month with big brother's help.... I already know that they're planning this move but it seems that no one knows yet"

"I've got everthing undercontrol grandfather, rest assured" Xia gave her grandparents a gentle smile reassuring them. Mr. Vanderwood chuckled, he didn't even know anything about this. *Xia is indeed cunning, even a word from Xander was never heard since he started studying abroad yet his sister manage to get in touch with him without anyone knowing* he looked at Xia with a proud smile *she is indeed my granddaughter* Xia spent her night with her grandparents talking and chatting about old times.
