I went to go see Katelyn off before reentering the front door. We had finally finished writing all our major papers and could now finally join Chloe in sleeping late with no worries. She had finished a few days before me. “Officially done with high school,” she said but it wasn’t official yet. Her results would only be out two weeks from now. She said she didn’t want a graduation party, she wanted to go visit our father in New York, but we all knew better -- at least I did. Brody was down in New York and although she loved dad, we both knew the only reason was to go see him. Did they plan on fixing things? I wondered if they could and if the answer was yes would that mean I could fix things with him - yes him, Gomes. We haven't spoken for a whole week and he didn’t bother to reach out.
