It was as if the question was a bomb that dropped down into Ethan's mind and destroyed every nerve inside. He felt numb for a minute as he had no idea what he heard. He was just shocked and uncomfortable. The room was silent both of them processing Jamie's request while Jamie was anticipating Carl's reply eagerly.
"W-What... d-date?" Carl speaks stuttering still shocked over this unannounced visit and her words which she had never expected. Jamie smiles awkwardly and clears her throat.
[Oh my God! What a life I got...asking a girl out for a date...that to my first. Am I serious?] She says to herself and more like pitying herself and her life.
"No!! This won't be!" Ethan says out loud taking both of them by surprise and they flinch on their spot. Ethan looks at Jamie with bossy eyes trying to intimidate her. But she rolls her eyes and heaves out a sigh looking back at Carl.
