Trucking details

As Mark reached Odonta's station, he finished reading some texts on his phone. That was a way for him to communicate with Truck-kun since the latter could read his mind.

Mark found out what exactly happened with the young boy, some details on trucking, and those special tasks.

In the end, the way trucking worked was as he had thought, meaning the entire body would transport to the Realm chosen for them. But that was if that body was to go in one of the Six Main Realms.

The names of those Realms were the Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, White, and Dark Realms, and they numbered them in that order. Red Realm was the First Realm, while Dark Realm was the Sixth. The higher the number, the more difficult it was to access those Realms.

So whenever a creature was trucked by them, Mark would normally choose to which of those Realms they would go. Even if accessing those Realms for Truck-kun and Mark was difficult, sending someone there through the power of trucking wasn't, but unfortunately, that power didn't work on either of them. Mark also discovered that he could truck not just humans, although those were the main focus most of the time. Though monsters of <Dungeons> couldn't get trucked, as they were artificial creatures made by the <Dungeon> and its owner.

As for the boy, he didn't go in either of the Six Main Realms but got sent to one of the uncharged ones. It wasn't rare for a being of those other Realms to call some help from a being of greater power than them. Most times, it was because the land was in great danger, but there were even instances that people did it to get a powerful servant.

Lastly, there were those scarce instances in the consciousness of a Realm that asked for help. And this was what happened with the boy, as one of the consciousness of the uncharted Realms had asked for help.

When Mark learned about it, he got depressed, as it sounded like he had completed a super rare quest to get a reward for a low-level one. In his opinion, the System had really screwed him over that, but Truck-kun had pointed to a detail he had barely paid attention to before.

When he entered the <Items> panel of his [Store], he could sell things. He didn't give it much thought before as it was greyed out, so he ignored it immediately, but now that he rechecked it, it wasn't.

He could sell both his <Iron Caudron> and his potions, and the prices were 10 <Truck Coins> for the <Iron Cauldron> and 0.25 <Truck Coin> for each potion. He had in total 7 potions, so if he sold them all, he would earn just 1.75, or 11.75 if he sold the <Iron Cauldron> too. But considering that he could create many more potions, he could earn more than 10 <Truck Coins> from keeping it in the long run.

As for the potions, he could sell four to earn 1 <Truck Coin> and still have three left. But for now, he didn't sell any as he didn't have any <Truck Update> or <Driver Skill> that he was interested in that costed 1 <Truck Coin> only. Unfortunately, he couldn't use both his <Truck Points> and <Truck Coins> to buy one Skill or Upgrade, but either way, he didn't have any of them left after getting the <Vehicle Possessor> Upgrade.

Another critical detail he learned was that the reward worked differently for normal truckings. Instead of getting a generated reward from the System, he got rewarded with something else that Mark really could use right now—- <Truck Points>.

It sounded like those special tasks were like outside contracts, giving him some extra benefits, but only through the main route could he improve himself for sure. But the resulted <Truck Points> depended on the target and the level difference between them and Mark. Truck-kun had assured him that there should be people up to level 50 at least, and maybe even over that, but they would be hard to find.

Of course, in the other Realms, the level of people would be higher, and most would be over the D Tier. According to Truck-kun, the D-Tier was the tier of the mortals, but that didn't mean that getting to C-Tier, you were immortal. Only the S-Tier can be considered the Immortal tier, but reaching that point wasn't easy.

Even Truck-kun and his siblings hadn't reached that tier, and they are some of the most powerful beings in all the Realms, at least on the Main Six. There was only one person, according to Truck-kun, who had reached the S-Tier, and he was the one who assigned him and his siblings their job. But, of course, according to Truck-kun, his was the most important, as he had to help the Realms by providing capable new citizens.

As he finished reading all that and got out of the station, he didn't head towards the hospital immediately. First, he needed to get to the nearest ATM, make a withdrawal for the upcoming payment, and have a few on him in case he needed cash.

Fortunately, there was a bank nearby, with an ATM outside, and even if there was a line of people waiting on it, there were only two people, including the one currently using it. It took more time to be his turn, though, as the one in front of him was an older man with terrible vision, and he decided to use the ATM instead of heading to the bank, which could be faster for his case.

Either way, Mark didn't let that affect him, as he was happy that he had the chance to wait in this line without worrying about not having enough money in his account for his current needs. Still, it wasn't like he had solved his economic crisis, but things were brighter than before.

As the old man finally finished with his transaction, Mark noticed something on him that he had seen before. Mark kept trying to use his <Appraisal> while looking around, in case the Skill got something new, but this time he got something he had already appraised before on the Old Man's coat—- cat's hair.

Mark smiled while reading it but then tried to hide that smile as the old man turned. He didn't know if he did it on time, or just the old man didn't notice the smile while Mark was staring at him, but the latter had the greatest chance, in his opinion.

But Mark didn't even try to remember that old man's face, as in his opinion, someone that old wouldn't get well in either Realm. Even if Truck-kun told him that the reason that they provided the Six Main Realms with people like that wasn't to have soldiers, it wasn't an unlikely scenario, either. Of course, the consciousness of the Realm where they were sent would give each person a primary task depending on where they would be more suitable, but Mark didn't think an old man should be put through something like that.

Maybe he still doubted that it was a good idea to do that, as he still felt bad about the boy, even if Truck-kun informed him it was a special case. But he needed to do that eventually, as Truck-kun had informed him of another detail he hadn't noticed.

As days passed without trucking someone, his <Driver Sync> would keep falling, and it would increase again through trucking someone or leveling up. But sooner or later, he will reach a point where the current <Dungeon> can't help him level up, so he will need to use the other way.

As for what will happen when the Driver Sync reaches 0% and be the end of their contract, Truck-kun also informed Mark about it—- he would die. Or, more specifically, it would split his soul across the Realms to empower the field that separated them and protect them from invasion from outside sources or each other.

According to Truck-kun, while he was in a coma, his driver Sync at one point was almost at 0%, but Truck-kun used some of his leftover power to prevent it, which led to Mark waking up, but also Truck-kun getting sealed because he weakened himself.

Mark tried to keep those thoughts at the back of his mind as he moved to the ATM to make his withdrawal, which happened without problems. He was thrilled that it worked like that, as he still doubted his current situation was true. But now that he had the needed money and some pocket money, he made his way toward his actual destination.
