The Recipe

Mark checked if there was any sign of Truck-kun or the truck itself. He had noticed before some of the same 'aura 'of energy he usually felt in the phone coming from the vehicle while Truck-kun had it under its control.

It seemed Truck-kun was still in 'Sleep mode, 'so he could ask his opinion. But he was curious about the rewards, even if he was sad over the last reward he received.

So after making a brief prayer, he picked the <Yes> option, and the notification panel of his reward appeared.

1x <Small Healing Potions (Recipe)> added to your Inventory

At first, Mark was ready to curse his luck as he read the notifications, as he thought he had received another potion. But then he noticed it was its Recipe instead, which changed things.

'It is true that the potion is primarily useless unless I get myself too much damage in small quantity, which isn't part of my style I want to go with. But if I can replenish them myself, that can make me unkillable as long as I am fast to drink one and don't get too much damage until its effects are active. '

Mark still has used none of the potions, and he didn't receive any knowledge about them as he did with his Skills. So other than the items' description, he did not know the limitations and effects of it.

'Let's first see how the 'crafting 'works first, though. '

Mark was familiar with Recipes for creating potions in games, but he didn't know if everything worked as it would in a game with his new abilities. So he opened his [Inventory], where he found the Recipe and had the option to <Learn> it.

Since he couldn't think of any reason not to do it, he pressed the option to <Learn> it.

1x <Iron Cauldron> added to your Inventory

____________________

After reading and closing all new notifications, only his [Inventory] panel was active. In the slot where the recipe was now, there was the <Iron Cauldron>, which looked very simple from its icon. It didn't seem to have much of an intricate design, but one could tell too many details from that small icon.

"Everything ok there? "Mark heard the voice of Miss Ren from behind him.

Then he realized that for people out, it looked like he just froze where he was staring at his truck's door and now and then pressing things in the air.

"It is something a Dr. suggested that I do. Had an accident some time ago and got out of the hospital just the other day. It is said to help my reflexes and eyesight. "

Mark, out of reflex, just said the first excuse that came to his mind. Part of it was genuine, as he was in an accident and had gotten out of hospital just a couple of days ago.

"I see… I wondered why I hadn't seen you for a while, but I guessed you didn't have any delivery passing through here lately. Are you feeling better now? "

Mark nodded to reassure the middle-aged woman that he was okay, and he got into his driver's seat while waving goodbye to her.

"Will see you later, Miss Ren. Hopefully, this new job will provide more deliveries around the area. "

The woman just let out a smile towards him as she turned and returned towards her company, to also get out of the way of Mark so that he could leave. Mark enjoyed speaking with her as she was one of the rare people that didn't despise him for whatever reason.

He wanted to check his <Iron Caudron> and see any more details about the potion creation, but since Truck-kun wasn't around, he had to focus on driving.

He needed to be back as soon as possible, as he wanted to either get his next task or at least prove that he was a professional. Even if finishing the delivery was the end of the task, he thought that reporting back to himself was part of it, at least in his opinion.

If they didn't have any new tasks for him, he could train his Skills, especially his <Martial Art> Skill. However, he couldn't get back in the <Dungeon> yet, as Truck-kun had told him, he would need to wait a few days till he could enter it as his body had to release the < Dungeon's Energy> first.

Mark had tried to focus on himself to locate that said energy which he was pretty sure he had succeeded in doing. He had tried to pull it out with his <Minor Energy Manipulation> Skill, but the Skill had no effect. Well, that was what he thought at first, but soon he noticed it wasn't the same as when he tried the Skill on Trucki.

When he tried to manipulate Trucki with his Skill, he couldn't do so, as it felt like the Skill couldn't even target it, like it never existed for it. But that wasn't the case for < Dungeon's Energy>, as Mark could tell that his Skill was targeting it; he just couldn't move it no matter how much he focused.

He didn't have the chance to ask Truck-kun, but he was certain that it was because his Skill wasn't high enough to do it. He had felt that different Energy Sources put a different amount of resistance, but the < Dungeon's Energy> was the first one he couldn't move or change its shape at all.

But for now, Mark focused on driving back, and not long after leaving the motel, Truck-kun was out of his Sleep Mode.

Mark could tell as he kept his Skill to check the energy from the phone, and he could feel the restriction there was before it was gone.

"Look who finally decided to wake up, "Mark said with a wide grin on his face.

"You know I can take control of the truck and make us crash. I can even ensure it isn't a deadly crash, but it will be painful. "

The grin got less wide, as it soon disappeared from Mark's face. Then Mark filled up Truck-kun with everything that happened and the new rewards he had received.

"An <Iron Cauldron>?!? I haven't ever used one, but they didn't seem that hard to do so. Hopefully, that foolish brother of mine hasn't screwed us over. "

"Brother? "Mark exclaimed as he found the last sentence of Truck-kun interesting.

He still knew next to nothing about who or what Truck-kun was and his background, as also the other voices he had heard before,

"I am referring to one of those Great Beings I mentioned when explaining <Dungeons>. Of course, most of my relatives and I are part of those Beings. What you people would say would be my 'Big Brother 'is an expert in anything crafting-related, so they made most items we are earning through Challenges and such from them. "

Mark had thought about the possibility that Truck-kun being a 'Great Being,' although he still didn't being a 'Great Being 'involved other than being able to create 'Dungeons. 'It sounded like they were influential people, but at what level Mark couldn't imagine; it was undoubtedly at inhuman levels.

"So, do you have any idea how making those potions will work? I didn't receive any knowledge about it when I learned it for some reason. "

Mark had found it strange that no new knowledge had popped into his brain. He had tried to think over the words potions, alchemy, etc., to see if anything came to mind, but nothing had.

"Of course, it didn't since you don't have the <Alchemy> Skill. Still, with the <Iron Caudron>, we should be able to make some potions. Fortunately, we have access to a suitable <Dungeon> as we can use the <Slime Cores> as materials for them. "

Mark had got some drops from the <Slimes> he had fought in the <Dungeon>, but they only dropped their cores and nothing else. Still, not all of them did, so he had only 6 <Slime Cores>. All of them were similar items no matter what kind of <Slime> they came from, so they only got one slot into his [Inventory].

Mark didn't know what he could do with them, but he had kept them, as he was confident they wouldn't be useless. Also, those were one of the few items that weren't added to his [Inventory] by themselves, but he had to do so himself.

He had tried to add other items in his [Inventory], like pens, notebooks, etc., but nothing worked. So it seemed like there were some limitations to what he could put in it, which he had to test further in the future.

But for now, he focused on driving back to where he had started his latest assignment.
