Choice

Ligi was in deep sleep when he felt a disturbance. This disturbance came from his heart and told him to wake up and protect Bang. Feeling a sense of worry, he woke up just in time to see a weapon tearing through the tent.

He immediately summoned his shield. The bark grew from his skin and repelled the incoming sword.

Unprepared for the backlash, the man let go of his sword and it flew away. The tent is now ripped open with the man who assaulted them in full view. He was wearing a black bandana that covered his face which only revealed the eyes.

The man looked at Bang and Ligi with confusion as he backed away and signaled with his hands. More men like him who wore bandanas gathered around Bang and Ligi.

Seeing that they were surrounded, Bang screamed at the top of his lungs. Something strange happened or at least didn't happen, he didn't hear his voice. Was he deaf? No, he definitely screamed. He should have heard his own voice. Did they have some sort of magic that prevented sound from propagating? Panic filled Bang's whole body. They have nowhere to run and they were surrounded.

Ligi steadied himself and went to the front of Bang and protected him the best that he can. The man who first assaulted them signaled something with his hands and pointed at Ligi's shield. They all looked warily at Ligi and tightened their grip on their swords.

Suddenly, in the corner of Bang's eyes, he saw movement. It was in the direction of the guards with Lobo. Speaking of the devil, he saw the ball faced man get up to defend himself from getting pierced in the chest.

Bang was happy, at least he wasn't the only one fighting with the bandits. Bang saw Lobo take his sword from his waist and slash it on a bandit and cleaved him in half. The sword was now glowing with red blood under the moonlight.

Seeing the threat that Lobo posses, a majority of the group surrounding him changed their direction to Lobo. They would get rid of the strong one first since Bang and Ligi had impeccable defense.

Only half of the bandits remained and slowly surrounded Bang and Ligi. Then Bang saw another body getting cleaved in half. It was a bandit that died in the hands of another guard. This time, it wasn't Lobo but another guard from their group.

Panic set in on the bandits' eyes. They looked confused and blamed a person on their group of something he had done wrong. The bandit in question defended himself and implied that he was innocent and he did his duty correctly.

Then another bandit died in the hands of another guard. The bandits were all caught off guard because they assumed that these guards were sleeping. In truth, the sword guards pretended to sleep and killed the bandits when they got close.

Realizing this fact, the bandits stopped in their tracks and observed the sword guards carefully. Seeing that the bandits were no longer surprised, the sword guards woke up and readied themselves.

Even more of the bandits changed their focus from Bang and Ligi to the sword guards. In the end only three remained and guarded them.

Chaos reigned in the camp. Blood and flesh splattered all over silently. There were no sounds even when a sword guard lost his leg and screamed for help. It was a frightening sight to see.

Bang didn't know what to do. Should he run or should he look for help. In the time of need, Bang heard the system.

'Surprise quest activated.'

With the quest suddenly activated, Bang now knew what to do. The system sent down some commands and Bang got ready to execute them. He turned to Ligi and gestured to himself and then to the shield as if saying to protect him.

'Protect me while I run away.'

Without any second, Ligi accepted the command. Bang suddenly accelerated into the direction of the sleeping farmers.

The three bandits were surprised at the sudden movement and tried to catch up to Bang. Unfortunately for them, Ligi was there. While Bang ran, Ligi acted as support and blocked the attacks of the three bandits.

Whenever they would get close, Ligi would repel them with his shield and make them back off.

Panic-stricken, one of the bandits threw their sword at Bang and hoped it would hit. It would have been easy for Ligi to deflect this but he was currently defending from one of the bandit's attack. Ligi screamed as a warning.

"Be careful!!!!!"

Ligi forgot that he couldn't speak out a voice and the sword flew ahead of him and into the direction of Bang.

Bang didn't know that a sword was coming in his direction. All he knew was that the system told him to move aside. Unfortunately, Bang reacted a touch too late and and his shoulder was sliced as the sword passed through near his side.

Bang felt a stinging pain as he looked at his bleeding shoulder. This was the first time he bled this much even after transmigrating. The pain he felt made him slow down.

'AHHHHH FXXX!!!!!!!!!'

Bang tried to hold pressure on his shoulder to stop the bleeding but this made it hurt even more. Although he had been in more dangerous positions, this was the first time he felt true pain from an enemy.

Thankfully, Bang finally reached the Farmer's camp and he shook one of them to wake him up. The farmer opened his eyes and quickly punched Bang as a self defense. As he got away from Bang, he picked up his shovel and pointed it at Bang.

'FXXX!!!!!!!!!! This ungrateful little fxxxing FARMER!!!!!'

Bang was truly pissed that he was punched trying to help them. Now, his shoulder and his nose was bleeding. It was at this point that the farmer noticed Bang's injured shoulder and spoke up.

The farmer was surprised that he couldn't speak. Not wanting to explain, Bang gestured outside and pointed outside the tent. Thankfully Bang didn't have to explain in detail because Ligi and a bandit appeared inside the tent to explain for him.

The bandit who saw that Bang successfully woke up the farmers, quickly retreated and told the others of the situation.

Seeing the situation, the farmer woke his fellow guards up and he picked up his rucksack. He took out a carrot from it and ate it.

The farmers that were woken up also tried to speak but was surprised at their inability to. Seeing their fellow farmer eat a carrot, they knew there was a threat incoming.

They all prepared their weapons and food to eat as they departed the tent. Outside, they could see blood spilled all over the ground. The bodies were mostly the bandits but there were a few sword guards dead.

They charged with boosted speed into the fight and took the bandits by surprise. There were still a lot of the bandits compared to the guards so they were now at a stalemate.

The bandits regrouped while the farmers and the sword guards stood next to each other. Then, the guards and the farmers at the back felt something in their backs. Feeling strange, they looked at their chest and saw a blade pierced through where their heart should be. It was the last thought they had.

The dead guards and farmers fell face first into their fellow comrades which surprised them. They turned around and saw that their allies died in the hands of some people blended in the shadows.

Their legs were literally in their shadows. Chaos once again reigned in the battlefield. The farmers and the guards were surrounded on all sides and the ones at the back were facing against powered people.

With their boosted bodies, the farmers tried their best to fight off against the shadow people and the bandits at the same time. The sword guards with their oiled up swords were not faring any better.

Little by little, the tides of battle fell into the favor of the bandits. The farmers and the guards were starting to lose their numbers.

Forced into no retreat, the farmers looked at each other and nodded wordlessly. They took out an apple from their clothes and ate it. Their bodies started turning bigger and bigger and their skin started to turn red in hue. Their muscles and faces contorted in a weird way but this made them even more fearsome.

Seeing this, the shadow people retreated back into their shadows in stealth. The favor fell once again to the guards and the now monstrous farmers.

Everything seemed to go well until Bang received a message.

'I suggest owner to hurry and protect Tab.'

'OH NO! Tab! My side quest!!!!'

When he saw the warning, Bang hurried to Tab's tent. The fat man was currently sitting in his desk with two farmers a little ways off his side. There was a look of worry and anxiousness at Tab's face.

Tab flinched when the tent's flap opened and the farmers readied their weapons. Seeing a familiar face, there was a relief that washed over Tab's heart.

Bang walked with Ligi over to Tab and tried to explain that his life was in danger by only using gestures on his hand. It was not effective as Tab's face showed confusion.

Seeing that it was worthless to talk it over, Bang gestured to Ligi to protect Tab. Bang pointed at Ligi then to Tab and gestured his shield. Thankfully, Ligi understood it and walked over to Tab.

Then suddenly, Ligi felt some kind of threat and he looked at Tab and saw that a shadow was forming behind him. He was the one closest to Tab and the farmers hadn't even noticed it. He was gonna sprint to Tab but suddenly he felt something wrong. He looked back and saw that a shadow also formed behind Bang.

What should he do? Should he follow Bang's order? Or should he protect his savior?
