Chapter 170 - The Juubi's Jinchuriki

Orochimaru looks at Ren and says "Now, show me the power of the shinigami..." before using Sonido to move behind Ren and attack him with his spikes, but Ren uses his Shunpo to back away, while at the same time drawing Senbonzakura threw it in the air behind him as he calmly says "Bankai...".

Seeing this Orochimaru comments "Hoo... So this is the power of a shinigami's Zanpakuto? A reflection of your power and soul... But what does it do?" but Ren doesn't answer and he quickly uses the Shunko: Asura Senkei (Instant War Cry: Asura War Form) destroying his upper wear and starts attacking Orochimaru with a barrage of punches, but Orochimaru uses his tail to block all the strikes and at the same time pierces Ren's shoulder with his right wrist's spike forcing him to retreat.

But the next moment, Orochimaru notices that the wound he inflicted on Ren quickly healed, so he comments "Ah! So this is the power of your Bankai, it constantly heals you from damage... This fighting style reminds me of Tsunade..." then he looks at the burns mark and melted point on his tail as it slowly heals thanks to his regeneration and continues "...And while you don't hit as hard as her, your damage is more difficult to heal... This is a good power... but not good enough... this time you won't be able to kill me!!" and once again he rushes at Ren, and the two starts a fierce exchange that further destroy the surrounding area.

Meanwhile, back to the moment Obito became the Juubi's Jinchuricki, Hashirama as soon as he saw Obito's figure and sensed his powers, quickly uses the Senpō: Myōjinmon (Sage Art: Gate of the Great God) once again to manifest ten tori gates one on top of the other to hold down Obito, but before Naruto could rejoice, Obito easily breaks them and using four Chakra Hand he grabs the four faces of the Shisekiyōjin (Four Red Yang Formation) and by pulling them together at the same time he easily breaks the barrier formed by the four Hokage that before was able to withstand the Juubi's Bijuudama.

At the same time Hashirama yells "Everyone be careful!! We don't know what that man's going to do now that he got a hold of the Juubi's power!! He destroyed the barrier!" then he quickly moves and stands in front of Obito with Naruto's group behind him, as Tobirama and Hiruzen do the same and says "I'll say it frankly, this man is stronger than me!!" and the Third Hokage admit it "It's rude to say it... But it's true".

Tobirama not moving his gaze from Obito adds "Even if we cancel the remaining clones we still can't make it" but just as Hashirama is replying "I know... But..." Obito attacks them with a pair of Gudōdama (Truth-Seeking Ball), orbs of malleable black chakra floating behind his hands, which can alter their form and characteristics in various ways obliterating half of Hashirama and Tobirama's bodies.

But the Second Hokage was able to put some explosive tags on Obito's body and as they explode he warns "Saru! Fourth! Jump!!" while the First Hokage knowing how his brother acts quickly creates some Wood branches to bind Obito.

Then as Naruto's groups and Hiruzen retreats, Tobirama moves in front of the bound Obito and says "I reckoned this wouldn't be enough to kill you... I created the Edo Tensei... And fighting techniques for it, though it's the first time I use them with my own body... Gojō Kibaku Fuda (Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags)!".

By using his own body as a medium for the paper, Tobirama creates several exploding tags formed from large sheets that each bear five seals on them, these special tags then attach themselves to Obito, but just as they detonate, additional tags are created as these previous ones explode. This process is continuously repeated, leading to a near-infinite chain reaction of consecutive explosions that continues for a few seconds.

At the same time, the other ninjas of the Alliance want to join the fight, but Hashirama stops them yelling "Everyone! Don't get close to it yet!!", and soon the smoke caused by Tobirama's Jutsu clears and the unharmed figure of Obito protected by his Gudōdama can be seen, then the Third Hokage doesn't give him and time to rest and soon attacks Obito with the Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu) throwing a single shuriken, he duplicates it with his chakra, and in an instant, the thousand copied shuriken spread throughout the area, surrounding Obito.

Because the shuriken are physically real, Obito is attacked from every direction, which means that he has almost no chance of completely avoiding it, but once again using his Gudōdama as a shield he passes through the Third Hokage's Jutsu and grabs his head before obliterating with another Gudōdama.

Seeing this scene Naruto loses his calm and says "Dad! Couldn't you make the Third jump with your Jutsu?" and Minato calmly replies "It only works on something that either I or my Chakra are touching in some way" but then Sasuke explains " Stop whining, Naruto... the Hokages are just Edo Tensei... They know they can't die, that's why they are purposely getting close to the enemy, to study his action and skills... You should analyze the fight instead of worrying" and Minato confirms it "Though it takes some time for Edo Tensei to recover".

Then noticing that Obito is looking at them he continues "I'll go and create an opening!", but just as Obito moves toward them his stomach suddenly expands and he crashes into the ground, and Minato decides to take advantage of the fact that Obito clearly still doesn't have full control over the Juubi to attack, but Obito dives into the ground by elongating his torso and attacks Gamakichi and Naruto from below, while his legs keep Minato occupied.

Then Obito attacks Naturo still in the air with a Gudōdama, but Sasuke uses Susanoo to block it, but then Obito is quickly able to take a hold of Sasuke and Naruto's heads and just as he is about to use the Gudōdama to kill them, Naruto with his quick thinking creates a chakra hand to connect himself and Sasuke with Minato, who uses his Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique) to save them.
