I Want To Be Like You

Inside Aishruee Cafe;

Ling Shenmi and Feng Mian entered the cafe together and were met with delicious aroma. Ling Shenmi was wearing casual pair of jeans and simple t-shirt while Feng Mian was wearing light blue floral dress. Feng Mian inhaled the scent and sighed in delight.

They sat at table near the window. As soon as they sat, a young looking waiter came to take their order. " What would like to have, beautiful ladies?" Feng Mian blushed slightly at his words. " One black coffee and one chocolate milkshake please and as for dishes what would you like to have Xiao Mian?"

"Um, Are you sure you are gonna give me to decide?" asked Feng Mian grinning at Ling Shenmi. " I think no, so we will have pancakes with honey and two vanilla chocochips cake pastries. Thankyou." said Ling Shenmi with straight face.

The waiter was stunned by Ling Shenmi's beauty so he blushed and after nodding his head he went to the kitchen. " Hey, this is unfair. You didn't give me to choose that's okay but only some pastries and pancakes..That won't satisfy my hunger. I am so hungry." Ling Shenmi sighed " Initially, I wanted to order only green tea for you but I pitied you and changed my mind."

" What? Only Green tea? Why do you think I am fat?" Feng Mian examined herself as she asked. Ling Shenmi answered "I overheard captain and your conversation earlier. He said that you should lose some weight otherwise it may hamper your performance."

Right that moment, Their order arrived. Feng Mian drank her milkshake as she said "So you heard..But this is not the first time he told me this. I already lost so much weight. Don't you believe me, Shenshen?"

Ling Shenmi looked at Feng Mian who was looking at her with puppy eyes, she sighed and nodded her head. Feng Mian was very delighted and began to eat pancakes at rapid pace. " Hey slow down, this is all for you." Ling Shenmi looked helpless seeing her friend eating like a monster. Feng Mian gigled and slowly ate.

At the same cafe, in the corner table, there were two men sitting across each other. Both were wearing casual clothes. One of them who was wearing cap and mask was silently looking at the other, while the other one was lowering his head and his forehead was soaked in sweat.

" Boss So-" Before the latter could say anything, The one with mask stood up. He left the cafe with long strides. The other one was so frightened that he almost peed in his pants. He gulped hard and wiped off his sweat with his handkerchief. After paying the bill, he also left.

When the boy with mask passed by the table of Ling Shenmi and Feng Mian, he slowed down a little but only for a while then he left the cafe. At the same time when he slowed down, Ling Shenmi who was eating stopped. With unknown reason her heart was beating very fast and was palpitating. She took a deep breath to calm her heart.

Seeing her sudden action, Feng Mian looked up at her. "What happened?" She asked. Ling Shenmi shook her head and continued eating. "Is your past troubling you too much?" Feng Mian asked with concern. Ling Shenmi smiled and shook her head. After She finished her coffee she asked "If you are done, let's go."

After paying the bill, they left the cafe. "I will make sure to give it a good review and sure come to this cafe again. The pancakes were sooo yummy. The soft texture of it.." Feng Mian started to compliment the cafe and dishes. Ling Shenmi was used to this, So she ignored her.

Suddenly , A sharp shriek was heard making them stop. " Ahhh, thieves..Catch them..They stole my jade chain and purse..Quick help me" shouted someone from afar pointing her finger towards those men who were running. They were running so fast that the people following them were unable to catch them.

Ling Shenmi got in alert mode. Her eyes contained a glint of iciness in them. When one of the thief was passing by her at rapid speed, Ling Shenmi ran too fast and mercilessly kicked him at his face. One kick and the thief laid on the ground motionlessly.

As if time was stopped everyone stopped, They were so stunned. The other thief was scared and thinking fast. He started running, throwing all the things that he stole on the ground. Ling Shenmi's lips turned into vicious smile as she ran towards the thief. They were running at a busy street so there were cars and buses roaming here and there.

They were running at a rapid pace. "Move aside, the car is coming." The thief ran swiftly forward before the car could arrive. The car ran towards Ling Shenmi. Everyone's heart was in their throats. But Ling Shenmi was calm. She stepped on the car's front then somersaulted and landed safely at car's end.

The thief was nowhere to be found. But Ling Shenmi didn't return back, instead she remained there. Everyone arrived there with Feng Mian. "Are you okay?" asked Feng Mian looking worried. Ling Shenmi nodded her head. Suddenly, someone came from behind and grasped Ling Shenmi's hand.

She was the lady whose things were stolen. " Thankyou, miss. If you weren't there, they would've gone with my things. This jade chain is very precious to me and my ID, passport, papers were all in this purse. Actually we were moving abroad. So , I don't know what would've happened without these things..I am very grateful to you. May god bless you."

Ling Shenmi nodded her head and didn't say anything. " Sister, you were so cool right now." a little boy popped his head out behind the lady. " Xiao Luo, come forward and thank this sister. Miss..This is my son, Qin Luo." Qin Luo came forward and looked at her with bright eyes. " Hello, Sis. Thank you for your help. May I know your name?"

Ling Shenmi squatted down and looked at the chubby little boy "Ling Shenmi. You can call me Sister Shenshen." Qin Luo smiled brightly " Sister Shenshen, You are very cool. You knocked out the bad guy with a single kick. I want to be like you when I grow up." Ling Shenmi smiled and patted his head, "Sure."

" Excuse me, What happened to the thief who was unconcious?" asked Ling Shenmi to the people. "He was reported to nearby police station." They answered. Ling Shenmi nodded her head "Then, we have some work, Xiao Mian we should leave." Feng Mian nodded her head in approval.
