54 Consort Belene

Her head whipped towards the direction, forgetting the female god in front of her. Her eyes widened at the sight of the head of servants walking towards her with fire spitting out of her eyes. But at that time, she was glad that the girl had appeared. This was her way out of the difficult situation. Beth quickly rose from the ground, picking up her tools and the basket hastily. 

"Matron." She called out, turning to the girl as she stopped in front of her. 

But the girl ignored her. Instead, her eyes were fixed on the female god. She saw a trace of irritation flash in the woman's eyes as she looked back and forth the matron and Beth. But she masked it quickly, putting on a gentle smile. The matron bowed before the consort. 

"My apologies, Consort Belene." She said with a black face. "The girl is quite new." 

The female god smiled, glancing towards Beth.
