The heretic leader almost gave in to the bluff of the young lord. With Geole smiling like that, who wouldn't want to wipe that grin off of his arrogant face? However, if the leader attacked and broke the black net by accident, Geole could use his seduction abilities against him and turn him into a puppet. The other heretics had already gained protection from it from Machiav; this leader had yet to be immune to it.
If Geole wasn't dangerous to get close to, why else would the others need to scheme against him and wrap him with a magic-disabling item? If it was easy to kill him through the disabling item, then why hadn't anyone done it yet? The heretic leader could only kick Geole in anger.
