Chapter 15

"Fuck me." Xavier woke up with a headache, which was much better than the mindfuck he had received the night before. The new information about his ability was immense, and it was all about how it had been improved. First of all, it had reached level three with his new knowledge. Most of the knowledge he had received were theories about how he could manipulate the shadow. 

First of all, he was sort of right to separate it into small pieces. Xavier found out that was step two to making the shadow corporeal, with step one being to saturate the shadow with his 'Ki.' The third step could be a lot of different things depending on what he wanted to do. "It's kind of like magic."

He would use his Ki, which now had a label on the status page, to extend his intent to his own shadow and from there to control it. At this step he breaks it down into very small particles. For simplicity's sake he decided to call it Shadow Ki (SK). Using the modified Ki, Xavier could link it together to form different shapes. There were many ways to form shapes, especially because the Ki was naturally attracted to itself.

[Shadow- Lvl 3- The ability to influence and control shadows. Users can create and control constructs, once created the system can assist. Cost: Ki]

[Shadow Constructs: Avatar- Imitation of the user, a form of clone. Cost: 20 Ki per full creation. ]

That was his full status now, with the new additions of a Ki level and a new description of his ability. It seems that as he learned of new things, the system would update it into itself. 'That assistance will be nice, I won't have to focus on maintaining the constructs while fighting.' Speaking of fighting, Xavier needed to go and talk to Peter. 

About a half hour before the boys had to leave for school, they met up in Peter's room and started talking about the night before. "Well, how was your route?" Xavier asked Peter.

"It took me a while to get used to traveling around but it was a lot of fun." He said, smiling. Peter paused for a moment to get his thoughts together. "I took down about five small groups, all doing minor crimes or robbing people, you?" Xavier told his brother about the miscellaneous groups he took down before telling him about the Tombstone base.

"Wow, smart decision to get out of there. By the way you described it, that should be a job for the both of us." 

"Yeah, we'll talk more about it later. For now we should get going." Explaining the details of the base took up a lot of time, so they had to get to school. On the way out, Uncle Ben and Aunt May give them their lunches and Ben even gave the boys a hug, which he almost never does. 'I guess he's emotional because of the shooting.' The boys thought. 

At school, the Parker brothers had a silent agreement to take their time there. With their normal lives beginning to be a bit hectic, they thought it would be good to spend some genuine time with their friends. Anyway, news about the boys' deeds was going around the school a bit.

One of the students in the publishing class had decided that a bunch of criminals tied up in extremely durable webs all over town was a good headliner. Most of the people who were talking about it soon forgot about it, but unknown to everyone, there were a few who took notice of the article.

Once he had gotten out of school, Xavier decided to take an hour to search the system for a couple projects he wanted to work on. He had seen that the suit builder had imputed a simple HUD into their suits and he wanted to learn programming. Not only would it help him improve their suits, but he figured eventually he could hack into high level systems like Oscorp. 

"I don't know about Stark though." Although right now, he didn't have Jarvis, the war out in the middle east was ramping up. Soon enough, Tony would make an expedition out there and be abducted, starting his career as Iron Man. Xavier didn't even factor Shield into his thoughts- He knew they would have a lot more security than Stark. 

He also knew that they would eventually find him and his brother and try to get them onto their side. That line of thought opened a whole other can of worms that involved things like Hydra, which he couldn't deal with anytime soon anyway, so he saved it for later. 

In the Shop, he found that he could look up manuals in the blueprint section. There were a lot of things that were way above his pay range, or even what he was willing to pay. He found a few manuals about coding, programming, security systems, and how to bypass said systems. Each one was only commonly rated so they came out to 5 Tokens. The latter cost two because it held more information. 

He opened each one to find that the system directly uploads the information into his mind. Each one would give him a slight headache, but they would fade fast and he would open the next. He did start to wonder why it wasn't as bad as the night before, but he figured it out soon enough. 

"It's probably because they don't have as much information as the knowledge from the ability."

For the next two hours, he began practicing his programming skills and found mild success. He had gained all the information but none of the experience, so he'd have to work hard to get familiar with it himself. 

After that, Xavier and Peter were dragged out of the house by Aunt May and Uncle Ben to go have dinner. It was pretty uneventful, but the boys had a good time. Especially Xavier. He was relishing in the fact that Ben was safe and sound. While he didn't feel that much of a connection with them, he still liked the family, especially Peter. That and Ben reminded Xavier of how his grandpa acted before he passed. Though for some reason, he couldn't remember exactly how he passed. 

"That's strange."

I've gone back and re-wrote how Xavier's fight with the criminals went, as well as a few other small bits. I won't be able to write an extra chapter how I wanted because We've had a family emergency recently and I will be busy today. Hopefully I'll get in front of my schedule soon!
