The big bad atrocity

When Nick had woken up Mary and Liz were not in the Northuldran camp. Nick and Bruni went around looking for a while. Nick had come across Christoph trying to set up a proposal for Mary. Nick figure that meant they left to investigate the connection of their parents. Nick however decided on hunting down the earth spirit he felt it was more important than the others. Something that had to do with him specifically, he chalked this feeling to the book of destinies. So he and Bruni went exploring.

Nick's wandering had led him hear the giggles coming what he suspected to be the wind spirit. The sound eventually disappeared, but Nick felt wrong. Like a feeling of being watched, he looked at the gecko that sat on his shoulder it seemed he felt the same. "Bruni you can feel that too can't you?" He watched as Bruni nodded. Now the question was what was watching them and where. The two were heading toward a random direction. Then their walking stopped, Bruni was confused by Nick's stop. Truth was Nick felt the change in mana he sensed the flow shift. "Who are you and do you dare to show yourself!" Nick knew something was close, it had somehow hid itself from Nick's senses. A gruff voice spoke out in a language Nick didn't understand fully. "xncds uhws vvzc vqni abarvxh ujos ajwd yqyp!" Nick had no idea and Bruni was even more startle by the jumbled words. It was almost as if someone put a bunch of letters into random letter generator to form some fucked up sentence. "What the fuck? I didn't understand a word of that." "Wcrds vrt dilrfercert te spkera wth grive is temith." A large creature walked out from the trees, Bruni shuddered and backed into Nick. The creature was similar to the more animal like wendigo, but the creature was not a wendigo. It had sharp antlers that were like an antelopes but then spiked backwards at a 90 degree angle. The creature had four arms that were as thick as Nick's waste. Its hands were meant for digging but had thumbs similar to that of a human. It had a wolfish face but its fur was red and maroon. Symbols and patterns in maroon fur were covering its body. It had scales covering parts of its body, each piece looked like the same material as a turtle shell. This creature looked starved and it stood 8ft tall making it clear, how malnourished the creature was. Nick tried to check the creatures stats, but he got nothing that he couldn't already guess. The creatures name was Duelle, everything was question marks except for one skill that indicated he was the earth spirit.

Nick knew what he needed to do for this creature, it was to feed it. How or what that meant is what made Nick shudder, this creature could've eaten every reindeer and human in this forest. So why didn't it began to stir a wrongness in Nick. "Ar-are you from this di-di-dimension?" He was scared, he was legitimately scared. He stuttered like Liz not from shyness or the lack of speech for so long, he was terrified of the creature and his guess was right. "NooOo, Frem othr place, werds get bedder?"
