My Siren(BL)

What happens when myth meets reality? On the night of his father's grand Hotel opening, Aiden had gone out to the sea with his friends to escape the noisy crowd in the hotel that disturbed his peace. Out on the sea and out of boredom, he had decided to try out something he had never done all his life: fishing. In the middle of the night... along the offshore zone of the sea, the fishing net was casted into the sea. When something tugged at the net, his friends quickly pulled it up and into the boat before it could escape back into the ocean With a sense of achievement, they looked at the net to see what they had caught and to their suprise... ----- Aiden walked up to kai who laid motionless on the cold floor after being pulled out of his tank by his tail. His wet golden coloured hair sprawled and stuck to his pale white skin as the water droplets trickled down to the ground. Aided squatted in front of him and gently pushed back the loose strands of wet hair that shielded his face. Holding onto kai's chin, he tilted his head up so he could look back at him. Upon seeing the hateful gaze of the young merman directed at him, a sly grin appeared on his face "Let me go." Kai said through gritted teeth causing Aidens smile to broaden. Caressing his cheeks softly, he leaned closer to the dripping man and whispered softly into his ears in a deep dulcet voice "No-" [Readers discretion is strongly advised]

School?

When Kai was done taking his bath, on impulse, he went into Aidens closet and picked out a white polo shirt from the ones folded and put it on. When he wore it, it was long enough to cover down to his important parts so it was okay.

Aiden was also done with taking his bath.

Martha, knowing fully well that the merman had gone into his room, had already selected Aidens pyjamas out and handed it to him so he wouldn't have to go upstairs.

Aiden and Martha were already at the already set dining table when Kai came down from the stairs.

When both Aiden and Martha glanced at the boy. Aiden flushed seeing the boy in his polo shirt, a wide smile playing on his face.

Martha saw this enthusiastic look and a crease settled between her brows

"Why did you put on Aidens clothes? I thought you both went shopping earlier." Said Martha with a small feigned smile.

"I haven't taken them out of the bag, there's no big deal about it." Replied the young master, shrugging his shoulders.

Kai walked up to where Aiden sat and automatically took a sit on the leather dinning chair beside him. When Martha turned to the kitchen counter to get the cutlery, the young master leaned in to the crook of Kai's neck and placed a soft kiss on the spot,

"Nice look." He whispered, causing Kai to blush.

Martha turned to the table and placed the cutlery set for each person beside their plate before sitting down.

"Why did you cook so much Martha, do you really expect us to finish all of this?" Aiden whined when Martha started serving the food in their plates.

"Be quiet Aiden that's why it's a punishment, now eat." She served him with rice and veggies and served Kai with potatoes and eggs.

The merman stared at the foreign food for a few seconds before taking his fork to eat even though he had not gotten used to how the device worked. When he saw the boy hesitate, Aiden took the plate from in front of him to help him cut the food into smaller pieces,

"Young sir, let the boy eat on his own." Martha scolded softly but Aiden just rolled his eyes,

"You're being nosy for no reason. It's not like I'm eating his share of food, Kai doesn't know how to use a fork and knife so I'm just helping."

"Why is that?" Her gaze moved to Kai...

"Don't expect every one you come by to know how to use a fork and knife, not everyone is privileged. And besides, I don't mind cutting his food for him for the rest of his life."

"Well I wouldn't like Kai to go somewhere and embarrass himself because he doesn't know how to use a cutlery." She snatched the plate from Aiden and gave it back to the boy. Her smile reappearing, she continued.

"Now dear, take your fork in your left hand and the knife in your right." The elderly woman directed and Kai followed her every step until he finally got the hang of how to hold the cutlery but his hands were still shaky as he tried to slice the food on his plate,

"You'll get used to it." Aiden interjected with a small smile that soothed the boy and he ruffled his blonde hair.

Martha stared at Aiden intently...

"Aiden, how did you two meet?" Martha couldn't help but ask wondering what had transpired between the two to end up being so close.

When the young master heard the question, his hand holding his fork froze but the merman still looked indifferent to the question and focused solely on his food.

"What would you do if I said I kidnapped him?" Aiden asked with a serious expression on his face...

Martha was silent as his words sank into her midbrain...

"Ehhhhhhhhhhh?!" She said and stood up swiftly making the chair she sat on fall backwards,

"You kidnapped him? Is this true? Are you a criminal now? Did you request for a ransom? How dare you do this to your father? And to me?! You will go to prison!" Martha said frantically until she ended up with tear stained cheeks,

"Wahhhhh! My boy is a criminal!" She cried out and Aiden couldn't help bursting into laughter.

She snapped her head in his direction.

"Are you laughing at a time like this young man?!" She scolded and pulled on his left ear hard,

"Oww, Martha!" Aiden winced,

"You will return that boy to his parents first thing tomorrow--"

"Martha I was joking!" Aiden said with a smile.

"What?" She paused,

She hit the back of his head and frowned

"What kind of joke is that?! Do you know you almost gave me a heart attack? What would you have done if I actually collapsed huh? Would you take me to a hospital?! Huh?!" Martha scolded while playfully hitting Aidens shoulders,

"I'm sorry calm down 'mom'." Aiden said to the elderly woman. "We met but the beach... He's here on his own free will."

It wasn't a lie but it wasn't the full truth either. He would just leave it at that.

The beach? Thought Martha. That didn't give her enough answers to her question at all but interrogatingvthem would make the young sir seethe with anger so for now, she would sit with it for now.

Now Martha's mood was already spoilt from the bad joke Aiden had said earlier.

"Both of you, finish your food and go to sleep early, you're leaving for school tomorrow." The elderly lady turned to Kai who had been busy eating his food all this while and was now almost done with his plate,

"Where do you school Kai? Is it far?"

Aiden choked on the bite of food he had just taken and started coughing, hitting on his chest to get the food out.

"Ah, he goes to the same school as me." Aiden explained rather swiftly,

Martha shrugged.

"I'll store the left overs in the fridge, make sure you both eat it before going to school tomorrow." She took the excess food with her as she went back into the kitchen.

Aiden had spoken out in a whim about Kai attending the same school as him and now he had to abide by his words... Enrolling Kai to his college as a transfer student did not seem like a bad idea at all, in fact, it proved to be even more helpful in letting the boy socialise and see the outside world even more.

To get him in, he had to make a certificate for his supposed former school which would prove to be too much work but then he thought of an easy way.

He stood up and picked his phone from his pack he carried earlier. When he unlocked it, he scrolled down the contact list until he found the number he was looking for and then clicked the dial button.

...

"Martha, We're done with dinner." Aiden said as he walked into the kitchen with his and Kai's plates in his hand. Martha, who was doing the dishes with gloves on, nodded and collected the dirtied plates from him.

"Thank you for the food." Said Aiden

"It's late," he glanced at the clock on the wall which read 8:53, "we'll head to bed now."

"That's okay, I'm sure you didn't have a good sleep since yesterday, have a good night." Martha spoke with a worried tone and Aiden nodded,

"Let's go Kai." Aiden said as he strode away. The realisation of what the young master had just said struck the elder woman and she quickly turned around, dropping the plate in her hand in the sink.

"You two are not sleeping in the same room, are you?." She countered with a firm voice and Aidens brow twitched,

"What's wrong with it? It's not like he's a girl that you should be worried if we sleep in the same room." Martha knew... She knew she was offending the boy but it was for his own good,

"Kai will sleep in the guest room since he is a guest after all."

"What the hell Martha!"

"Language Aiden!"

Martha scolded and Aiden fell silent.

"Go to your room Aiden." Martha said more softly this time and Aiden scoffed before going up stairs.

"Where is the room?" Kai's small voice interrupted her and she pointed to the door at the end of the living room.

....

It was past midnight and all the lights in the building were switched off. It was a moonless night so even the outside was dark except for the security lights situated at corners.

Before Martha had left for the night, she had made sure that the two boys were passed out, asleep before leaving but ever since Kai had entered the other room and slid under the blanket, he wasn't able to close his eyes... despite the blanket, he felt very cold and uncomfortable.

Unable to bear it any more, he stood up from the bed, clutching the white pillow in his hand and stepped out of the room. Even in the dark, Kai was still able to maneuver his way up the stairs until he reached the front of the door to Aidens room. With out knocking, he pushed the door open slowly and got in... Aiden was asleep. Not wanting to disturb the other, he slipped under the blanket and nuzzled closely to the others hard chest and warm body temperature... this was better, now he was comfortable.
