Fateful encounter

Back in the Li's mansion, regardless of the tragedy that just occurred warmth spread throughout the mansion as little Anyu carried her baby sister Xuiying in her tiny hands and rocked her back and forth. Li Dong watched this with a warm smile on his face, even though his whole world has been turned upside down he will be strong for his two little Princesses.

Years passed like seconds, Seventeen years later.

At Xijian River, Li Xuiying knelt by the side of the river with a bouquet of white Lilly in her hands. Her face stunning appearance stunned everyone passing by, they couldn't help but stare and take pictures of this breathtaking young lady, she looked just like a goddess.

Xuiying ignored them and started speaking to the river, "Mom, I hope you are well, I brought you your favourite flowers", she placed the bouquet of Lily on the wet sand, "Mom, I'm sorry I didn't come earlier I was busy with college, I plan on assisting Dad in the Li corporation, I know you will be glad to hear that". She smiled sadly and wiped her tears, seeing that she couldn't hold back her tears Xuiying apologized, "Mom I'm sorry, I will cry just this once okay... I have so much to talk to you about Mom, I wish you were here, I need you".

Li Anyu got down of the car not far away from where Her sister was, she walked to her and said, "Ah Ying, Father just called and asked us to head back immediately".

Li Xuiying heard this and was annoyed at the disturbance but she ignored it and turned to her sister, "Why is that?", she asked.

"We have a guest waiting for us", Li anyu replied to her sister.

"A guest?", Li xuiying muttered with a trace of anger evident in her voice.

Li Anyu noticed the change in her sister's mood and knelt to her level, she placed her hand on Xuiying shoulder and said, "Ah Ying, don't be sad... Mom won't want that".

Li Xiuying smiled on hearing this, she looked at her sister and said, "Give me two minutes, I'll meet you in the car".

Li Anyu nodded and patted Xuiying's head, before heading back to the car leaving Xuiying.

"Mom, worry not... I will come back soon I promise ", Xuiying said and fiddled with the emerald blue dragon pendant on her neck, "I love you Mom", she said and stood up, she dusted her knees and headed for the car.

Inside the car, Xuiying laid her head on Anyu's shoulder while Anyu patted her head slowly and softly, "You are upset that Father interrupted you right?", Anyu asked.

Xuiying sighed before saying, "You know me best, I haven't visited Mom for months and I have a whole lot to say... Who is the guest that is so important for Dad to call us back?".

"I also have no idea who this mysterious guest is, don't worry Ah Ying, we will come back and spend more time with Mom", Anyu assured.

"Hmm", Xuiying nodded.

"Eldest miss, Young Miss, we have arrived" " the driver said and got down to open the door for them.

Li Xuiying and Li Anyu got out of the car and noticed that Li Dong was waiting for them, they quickly walked over to him.

"Father, who might this guest be?", Li Anyu asked immediately while Xuiying kept quiet.

Li Dong noticed the displeasure on his daughter's face so he immediately apologized, "Sorry for calling you both back in a rush, Your grandmother and Tang family came to see you".

"Tang Family?", Anyu exclaimed, why would the Tang family come here? They are the biggest and wealthiest family in the whole country.

Li Xuiying couldn't care less about the Tang family but knowing her grandmother was inside she was delighted.

"Come on let's go see them", Li Dong said and held both his daughter's hands and led them inside.

"Sorry to keep you all waiting", Li Dong said and the people in the room all stood up.

"Grand Ma!", Li Anyu squealed and ran into Grandma Murong's arms. Grandma Murong embraced Anyu with a smile, looking at Xuiying who was standing still she immediately called, "Little Yue! Won't you come give me a hug too?".

Li Xuiying who was stuck in a staring competition with a handsome stranger heard this and immediately went to meet her grandmother, "Grandma", she said and embraced her.

Grandma Murong hugged her granddaughter tight and said, "I know you don't celebrate today but still... Happy birthday Little Yue".

Li Xuiying heard this and hugged her grandmother tighter. She never celebrated her birthday, she believed that day was cursed after all on that day she lost her Mom forever, "Thank you, grandmother", she appreciated her grandmother's love and care because growing up everyone taunted her for being the cause for her Mother's death but every single day Grandma Murong will always make it clear to her that she is not at fault, she even named her 'Little yue", which means Little moon.

Li Xuiying loves this name because it is taken from her Mom's name Murong Yue.

"I got a little present for you Little Yue", Grandma Murong said and brought out a little white box from her purse and gave it to Li Xuiying, "Dont even think of rejecting it", she quickly added and Li Anyu giggled at her grandmother's antics.

Xuiying collected the box with a smile, "Thank you Grandma".

"I also brought a gift for you!". Xuiying heard this and turned to the owner of the voice, it happened to be the handsome stranger she was staring at earlier.

Dressed in a neat black tuxedo, his long curly black hair was tied in a low messy bun, his well-sculptured face made Xuiying doubt if he was human, She slowly examined everything about him from top to bottom, it was then she realized he was walking closer, for no reason she found herself holding her breath.

Why am I acting like this?, Xuiying questioned internally.

While Li Xuiying was trying her best to focus, Dimoxuan was having fun seeing the look on her face.

Seventeen years have passed and she looks just like the Goddess of War Li Yue... Even more ethereal and elegant, from the moment she got out of the car his eyes were glued to her, and when she noticed him, she stared back as if trying to read him, he couldn't help but get excited seeing her flustered.

He walked closer to her with a smirk on his face.

Xuiying was stunned when she realized how close they were, she didn't move or say a word she just kept staring at him like she could see through him.

Shen Yunying watched her Master walk to Li Xuiying with hatred in her heart, she couldn't take it anymore so she left the room.

"Let me do the Introduction", Li Dong broke the awkward silence and stood in between Dimoxuan and his daughter. Grandma Murong smiled at this she didn't say a word, she too was curious about this handsome young lad.
