I Awakened What Now?

MSG - Volume 1 - Chapter 29

A roar that shook the grounds of the surroundings and reached all who were within or near the territory.

As he floated there in the air, his long black hair got lose of the bands that once kept it tied up in a ponytail, and started efying gravity.

His floating hair did not change color but his green eyes did

His left eye shone with golden light and his right one with a white one—reminiscent of the robes worn by the attackers.

It was like his eyes suddenly became a pair of miniature suns.

None who were nearby, if there were at all any, could look directly at his face.

For the six-minute-long duration of his pained roar, the Rafflesia family grounds and the area surrounding it, seemed to have turned from night to day.

The white and golden light that enveloped the area carried along some of his emotions and wishes with them, cleansing all blood and filth from there.

When his roar ended, the light died down from the environment but his green eyes still had a faint glow in each of them.

It was hard to tell what was going through his mind based on the emotions expression on his face (or lack thereof), but all who were in the know knew that this young adult was not in a simple mood.

The volcano that was threatening to errupt was not something that could be explained with words, at least not simple ones.

Soon, he slowly turned around to look behind him.

He already knew who was there but he allowed someone's arms to wrap around him in a hug.

"Solon!" Cyanea exclaimed, her tone clearly one of worry.

As the two hugged, Solon's eyes locked on to the figures that arrived alongside the vampire.

There was the familiar breathtaking image of the sculpture-like goddess of death, as well as the ever-grumpy incubus.

But they were not alone.

They had brought three more friends with them, two of which he recognized despite meeting them for the first time as he had heard of them in Cyanea's stories.

There was a sentient obsidian skeleton with green flames in its eye sockets and a glowing green cuboid in its ribcage; a Lich.

A woman who appeared to be in her late 30s, had pale porcelain skin, full lips, a flat nose, and pink eyes.

She had short blue hair and stood at about 5 feet and 5 inches in height, with a 'mature and motherly' physique.

As she looked around with creased brows, taking in her surroundings, he easily identified her as a vampire—not an ancestral one like Cyanea, but a very old being nonetheless.

As for the last one, he was the one that Solon did not recognize at first glance.

He appeared to be a man with ebony skin and baby blue eyes. On his head was an uncombed shoulder length dark red hair, and his build seemed as sturdy as a brick layer's.

He looked like one who was obsessed with training; akin to the gym rats on earth.

In fact, it was easy to spot veins in places where one would think were not possible as he had his entire torso bare, leaving the only thing worn above his waist being a necklace of gem-like stones he hung around his neck.

As Solon observed the necklace a bit more, he identified the 'stones' actually be monster cores—ones of such high quality that they could only belong to those that had reached the peak of the legend rank, and possibly even making it to the level of power that tbe White Knighg had atttained:

The Limbo Realm.

It was obvious that the man was a force to be reckoned with, his power level possibly being that of a Demigod, or quite close.

However, Solon narrowed his eyes momentarily for a different reason.

However much he looked like a human, Solon could tell that he was bo homo sapien. The 'hair' on his head was that of a beast or animal.

'A werewolf?' he mused internally before returning his gaze to Cyanea who had withdrawn from the hug and started having her hands roam around his body while asking;

"Are you alright?"

"I hope you aren't bleeding."

"*sniff* This blood doesn't smell like yours."

"Are you hurt anywhere?"

"I hope you aren't but if so, please don't hide it from me."

"You know what? Don't answer that. Just drink my blood."

"Yes, that would be best."

She was about to bite into her arm with her fangs but Solon stopped her, grasping her wrist and pulling it away from her face.

"There's no need for that." He said, while thinking: 'So the records and rumors of the fresh blood of Ancestral Vampires possessing miraculous effects and uses is indeed not bullshit after all.'

All who were present felt their scalps tingle as they heard his voice, even the goddess (albeit hers was not out of fear but of pure shock).

His voice was still sounding the same as usual but… there was now a profound force packed into it.

Every word he said seemed to carry inexplicable weight.

While the others had no clue what it was exactly that they were witnessing, the goddess's shock morphed into amazement, and then pure inaccurated joy.

With a huge smile on her face, she said;

"You! You awakened the Divine Spark!"

All six listeners (i.e. including Solon himself) had various expressions on their faces as they heard that.

The twins had been aware of the fact that Solon possesed Solariel's Divine Spark (an incomplete divine spark but a divine Spark nonetheless) so they were just curious of what the 'awakening' meant.

As for the long-lived and ergo knowledgeable demigods on the other hand, they had shocked and disbelieving reactions as for one; they did not know that Solon (who their goddess had only told them was 'a but special' and nothing more) possesed a divine spark.

Then there came the main bomb—he had managed to awaken it!

'This means… This means…'

They did not dare to complete that, both verbally or mentally.

The implications were just that great!

"Hm? Hey, what's wrong?" Cyanea asked, her tone worried. "Solon!"

He had just started wobbling strangely, dizzy, before losing consciousness and falling towards the ground.

Luckily, there were people nearby who could catch his unconscious form in time, the one actually doing so being the vampire.
