Leroy clapped his hands when everyone was already gathered here, "Now that we're complete, let's go guys," Leroy said, slinging his arms on Hannah’s shoulders.
I could see Hannah tensing, her flushed cheeks suddenly turning redder, if that’s even possible.
I saw Eion tensing up at what Leroy just did, "Don't touch my cousin, Leroy." He said, scowling at him.
"Chill Eion, you remember why you're here right?" That made Eion silent and we walked towards the elevator. We came here to watch a movie, as Emma had said.
We bought the tickets while the guys got the snacks. "Why didn't you tell me Eion is going?" I glowered at Emma. She chuckled nervously, "Uhm let me explain Snow..."
Hannah interjected."Let's have some fun, Snow. What's with the mood?"
"Right, let's enjoy it!" Emma said and marched to Dax who was getting in line for the show.
Leroy snatched Hannah from beside me and I was stuck with Eion.
"What? What are you looking at?" he asked, noticing my stare. Gosh, really though. The drunk Eion is really better than his usual self. And I don’t think I can handle him today.
"I'm wondering how you, out of all the people in the world, are here," I said to him.
He breathed in and out, "I'm in no mood to argue with you, Snow."
"Well, I'm not in the mood either. I'm just curious how they managed to bring you here." I said. Hopefully, he won't remember and try to bring up what happened last night. He was too drunk...right?
He took a deep breath. "I owe those idiots, saying I need to show up to them."
I chuckled, "So you're making up to them...how sweet Eion."
He glanced at me, "Shut up."
"How did you make friends with them by the way?" I asked. “They are too opposite from you.”
"Seriously, I have no idea,” He replied, shaking his head. “For all I know, those idiots just appeared one day to irritate me every time."
“But you always give in to their requests though,” I added.
He nodded at that, “Well, I don’t even know how they always persuaded me.”
I guess it's the first time Eion and I came into an agreement. He's right though. When we entered the cinema, we seated ourselves. I wanted to complain to Emma about everything but seeing her smiling at Dax, I kept my mouth shut.
I have to give it to her then. It's her day today...I shouldn’t bother them and just let them enjoy themselves.
I turned to Emma and saw that she and Dax sat by the others, same with Hannah and Leroy who were seated to my left and Eion, to my right. He was quiet the whole time, his face expressionless. The lights turned off and the advertisement started.
"You do know it's a triple date right?" I asked Eion, starting my small chat with him.
"What? It's a date?!"
He asked, his usual expressionless face now turning confused. I sighed. I guess Leroy and Dax managed to make him come here without even telling him what it is.
He stared at me, "So that's why all of them are pairing up? Now that makes sense. I thought it was just a regular meetup."
I surveyed his reaction, seeing him completely calm about everything. "Is that all your reaction?" Seriously? He's not even shocked, as if used to everything his friends pulled.
"It's not like I have the power to go back to the past and not come here. If I would have known it, I probably would never have shown up here.” He said, like giving up to his friend’s tricks. "I just got used to my friends' tactics."
Am I the only one tense about all of this? Why are all of them so chill? I glared at the screen before me. Whatever, let's just enjoy it. When the movie started, I just laid back and grabbed my popcorn.
I squeezed my thighs, feeling like I need to pee after a while. I cursed under my breath, I shouldn't have drunk the whole bottle of soda! Now I have to worry about how to get to the comfort room without Eion noticing, and at the same time wanting to know what happened with the characters of the movie. And most importantly, this is in the climax part!
Glancing at Eion beside me, he was too focused on the movie so I took it as a chance to stand up and ran to the comfort room.
When I returned, I acted as if nothing happened, grateful that the lights were off.
I looked at Eion beside me, who was still and not moving.
"Eion?" I called out. He was not answering.
"Hello? Eion?" I asked again. Looking carefully from the darkness, I heard his heavy breathing. So he was sleeping?
I turned to Leroy beside me to ask him about Eion but stopped as he was holding hands with Hannah. I looked at their hands, raising my eyebrows in suspicion. What the hell?
I looked at the far corner to look for Emma, a bit worried what Dax might have done to my dear Emma. Plus, I do not trust Dax that much. When I saw that they were just eating popcorn, I sighed in relief.
As the movie ended, the lights turned on, and I blinked, adjusting to the sudden light. I stood up and saw Eion beside me, who was still sleeping. I called out to Leroy, "Hey, your friend here is still sleeping."
He brushed me aside saying, "Wake him up then." before he stood up with Hannah.
"We’ll just be in the car, Snow." Said Dax and they left me as the other people in the cinema left.
I cursed at them. What kind of friends are they? Leaving their friends behind?
Shaking my head, I looked at Eion's sleeping figure. He looked peaceful. I caught sight of his long eyelashes and couldn’t help but admire it. His thick eyebrows were also showing, along his sharp jaw that I feared could cut anything. I could tell that the small hairs left from his beard were just cleanly shaved.
I shook my head, pulling myself out from a trance. I should wake Eion up. But I kind of feel bad breaking his sleep, and I don’t know how to wake up properly. He would probably breathe fire to me when he saw me. Well who knows, he might be the type of person who hates people to wake him up, right?
I nudged him in the shoulders, before softly saying, "Wake up, Eion."
He stirred in his sleep. Waiting for a few seconds, I spoke up again, "Hey wake up."
Suddenly, I saw his eyes opening wide, and he blinked. I wasn’t able to do anything as he grabbed my hand and he pulled me in, making me stumble and fall, hitting the armrest beside us. I glared at him, "You're awake, aren't you?"
