After a short ten-minute walk, I have reached the flat building and was now waiting for the elevator to reached 17th floor.
When I stepped out of the elevator, a janitor was right outside our house and it seemed like he was just starting to push the janitor’s trolley along the corridor. I was unable to identify who he was because half of his face was covered with a baseball cap.
When we walked past at each other, he bowed slightly at me and I swear that I could see a smirk plastered on his face.
However, that made absolutely no sense, because why would the janitor smirk at me? I chose to come to the conclusion that I had just mistakenly taken a smile as a smirk.
Having said that, that smile—or that smirk, or whatever, triggered a strange sense of familiarity. I have definitely seen it somewhere, causing me to frantically racked my brain to try to recall where I have seen that smile but it was to no avail because I just couldn’t seem to remember.
