A Worthy Opponent

Shiro's arrival at the arcade garnered quite the attention due to his feat in the morning. But none of them challenged him to the game except one particular girl.

It was a young petite girl with long silver hair tied into twin tails. She wears a dark blue button-down vest with side straps, over a tank top, a dark blue skirt with two yellow lines, and sneakers.

"Let's fight in that game! 10 matches!" The girl grinned

"Alright," Shiro nodded, he was also quite interested in this girl who challenged him.

They played a fighting game, Street Fighter. They fought fiercely as both were skilled in games. But ultimately the girl won by a slight margin.

Shiro stood up and walked over towards the girl. "You're an excellent player, what's your name? My name is Amano Shiro, by the way." he extended his right hand.

"My name is Meru, also your gaming skills are excellent as well." She praised as she shook his hands.

"Well, will you play some more?" Shiro asked

"I want to try the crane game" She replied before rushing towards a claw game. She played with it but didn't get anything.

Meru pouted and started hitting the claw game. Shiro walked over and said, "Let me try for a bit."

Meru step aside and watched Shiro. At first, Shiro didn't get anything but after a few tries, he got something.

Shiro grabbed the prize and handed it to Meru. "Here, you can take it."

"Thank you, Shiro!"

Shiro was momentarily taken aback as Meru called him directly by his first name. Nevertheless, he smiled, he was okay with it.

"Your welcome, Meru. By the way, are you going here every day?"

"Sometimes I play at home," Meru said,

"I see, well it's nice meeting you. Could we play sometimes?" Shiro asked

"Oh? Of course, if you go here again then just search for me and we'll play." Meru grinned

"Then, I'll go first. See you later, Meru." Shiro waved his hand and walked away.

"See you later, Shiro!"

"I'm home," Shiro said as he entered their house. He then walked towards the living room.

"Oh! Welcome Back!" Mizuki said

"What are you watching, mom?" Shiro asked curiously after seeing his mother on the couch seemingly invested in watching the television.

"Oh! It's just some afternoon show. It's pretty good,"

"Really? Then I'll watch too." Shiro walked over and sat beside his mother.

"By the way, mom. Where's Keita?"

"He's sleeping, he stayed late again last night. But since you dragged him out this morning, he slept this afternoon."

"Ah, I see..." Shiro felt kinda bad now after hearing his mother.

Seemingly noticing Shiro's mood, Mizuki chuckled. "Don't worry, Keita has been like that for years. No matter how we warned him, he always stay up late playing games. As a result, he often wakes up late."

"Is that so..." Shiro muttered, 'Looks like, Keita is like Meru haha~ Both are game addicts.'

Shiro subconsciously let out a smile before focusing on the television. He along with his mother watched the afternoon show, with enjoying their time.

"Everyone, we have a problem! Akizuki-san just called and he said he can't come to work due to a cold." A young man said.

He is a tall, handsome, and well-groomed pale-skinned young man with blond hair, blue eyes, and perfect eyebrows. He wore a white button shirt with rolled sleeves up to his elbows, black pants, brown shoes, and a black apron.

"What should we do, our time to open is near." A teenage girl said in a panic.

She is an attractive teenage girl of average height, with knee-length blonde hair tied into twin tails, blue eyes, and an extremely well-endowed figure.

She wears a sky blue button-up blouse of black buttons with short puffed sleeves with a white band with a dark blue stripe on the edge and a white collar with a dark blue stripe on the edge.

She also wore a white half-apron with frilled edges, white knee-high socks with a dark blue stripe on the top socks, and dark blue toecap flats with white gloves with a dark blue stripe on the edge.

"Calm down, Kaho." A petite girl beside the blonde girl said, "Looks like you'll work alone in the kitchen."

The petite girl has chin-length brown hair, purple eyes. She wears a canary yellow button-up blouse of black buttons with short puffed sleeves with a white band with a dark blue stripe on the edge and a white collar with a dark blue stripe on the edge.

She also has a white half-apron with frilled edges, white knee-high socks with a dark blue stripe on the top socks, and dark blue toecap flats with white gloves with a dark blue stripe on the edge.

"Mafuyu-san, I can't possibly do all the work in the kitchen." The blond young man, Dino, cried.

"Then think of something quick." Mafuyu, the petite girl, said.

"Manager, what should we do?" Kaho asked

"I'm thinking..." Dino said, then noticed something on his phone. It was an app icon with the 'SS' as a logo.

'Did I download this app? I can't seem to remember, 'Curiously, Dino tapped the app icon and it showed a simple menu.

"Service System?" He muttered then an introduction came explaining the function of the app.

'Huh? This is an app that hire someone for a job? Maybe I can find someone to temporarily replace Akizuki-san, but can this be trusted?' Dino thought but then remembered of he didn't have someone to work with him in the kitchen then he would be alone.

By then he would be too tired in the night to watch some of his favorite anime, airing tonight. He was pressed with a hard choice, to trust or not trust the app.

"Manager!" Kaho's voice got Dino out of his stupor. "Have you thought of something?"

"...Yes, I think we can get some temporary replacement for Akizuki-san." In the end, Dino can't give up his time to watch anime at night and decided to trust the app.

Dino then filled out an application for a temporary worker. He filled out the application given by the app, like what is the job, skills of the worker he want, etc.

Meanwhile, Shiro who was doing some workout suddenly got the system notification.
