Accepting missions
After sitting on his chair, Ning Qi finally took out his mobile to call Yi Ran first.
"Hello--"
That call got connected faster than he expected. But after he said 'hello' there was no other reply from the other side.
"I'm sorry!"
Ning Qi simply said sorry, as he thought that Yi Ran was angry because he kept them in the dark regarding his cultivation journey.
On the other side, Yi Ran, who didn't know how to respond to Ning Qi initially, was surprised by his apology. She thought he was apologizing for not coming to their rescue in person.
"It's alright! Your D-disciple said that you are doing something important. But we never know that you are someone like that... I don't know how to phrase that."
Yi Ran's soft voice came from the other side, instantly making Ning Qi realize he may have misunderstood her. But he also felt a bit troubled by the fact that this woman is angry about his not coming in person.

She has been listening to their conversation since Yi Ran got the call.

"I want these two missions." Nangong Xu pondered for some time before he pointed at the Mission - 2 in easy ones and then at the Mission - 2 in medium difficulty ones.
The first one is okay, as it is just to track down a serial killer. Even though it may cause a bit of a headache, it won't be life-threatening.
But the second point he pointed out is a bit harder, as there is a chance that the enemy sect may have a foundation establishment realm cultivator.
