Ray came back inside the room holding two plastic bags. He put the bags down and folded the umbrella, placing it against the wall. He saw that Debbie was sleeping already on the sofa. She was sitting down with her head facing the ceiling. But as he got closer, he noticed tears were coming out of her eyes. So Ray knew that she wasn't sleeping.
"Hey, are you alright?" He asked her and sat beside her, putting the plastic bags down in front of him. Debbie shook her head slowly without opening her eyes. Ray then sighed and looked at the unconscious woman with the sound of the computer beeping. Maybe the doctor had told her when he left.
"Why...why didn't you tell me?" Debbie asked and Ray turned his head to look at her. Oh shoot, he was right. She was aware of it.
