What happened to your face?

Lin Ye woke up in the morning with a splitting headache, the events of the past day playing in her mind like a broken record.

When they had left with Nu Yang, she went to the infirmary to check on Wen Shao Feng and then went back home.

Today she had an early shift and when she got in the hospital, the scene shocked her.

The emergency department was having a field day!

Several people had been brought to the hospital. Some of them had broken bones but all of them had one thing in common, swollen cheeks.

Wen Shao Feng was pretty busy. She was already feeling fine by morning so she opted to go to work instead of staying at home.

She saw Lin Ye enter and towards her while beaming,Beauty, you are here early, your shift starts soon?"

Lin ye nodded as she shifted her bag to the other side, "I see you are quite busy as well Shao Feng..."

Wen Shao Feng nodded, "This is nothing I cannot handle..."

Lin Ye looked at her excitedly and then looked at the patients once more. She felt that they looked very familiar.

She looked again and then ducked behind Wen Shao Feng.

There were many hospitals in the capital. Why would they come to this one specifically?

Lin Ye felt like dying!

Wen Shao Feng felt sudden weight on her waist and gasped, "Beauty, what are you doing?"

Once the coast was clear, Lin Ye stood up and straightened her clothes languidly, "Thank you, Shao Feng."

Wen Shao Feng waved, "No need...no need...oh yeah who were you trying to hide from?"

Lin Ye felt embarrassed and simply nodded her head, "Later alright? I am late for my rounds!"

With that, she sped away!

Wen Shao Feng laughed and walked back to the emergency department.

Lin Ye just rounded the bend when he saw an old man coming her way. His belly was huge and the middle part of his head had no hair. Who was it if not the hospital's director, Zheng Ding.

Lin Ye's mood instantly turned sour but she swallowed the feeling and greeted, "Good morning director..."

Zheng Ding was now standing in front of her, "Xiao Ye, good morning...."

His tone was rushed. Lin Ye asked, "Did something happen director?"

Zheng Ding pressed his lips. Slight anger could be seen on his brows and because he had been walking fast, several thin layers of sweat could also be seen on his forehead.

"The thing is...ah Xiao Ye...ah that child Cheng Yu got into trouble and she got into a little accident. I am going to see her now..."

Lin Ye acted shocked, "Doctor Cheng had an accident? What even happened?"

The two of them walked in between the corridors until they reached a secluded ward room.

They both entered and were shocked to see Cheng Yu with many bandages wrapped around her face until she looked funny.

Lin Ye held in her laughter and walked over and in fake concern asked, "Doctor Cheng, what even happened to your face?
