Mama! I am so scared!

"You...what are you doing?" She asked as she scooted away from him.

Chen Xi was frowning, "Wifey, you are so talkative with other men!"

He was feeling like an abandoned kid. Lin Ye looked at him and scoffed, "The man was almost my fiancé, it ,makes sense for me to be a bit free with him."

Chen Xi looked back, "And I am your husband!"

Lin Ye laughed, "Husband? Your one sided declaration does not affect me, now get out or else we are going to be late for the main event."

Chen Xi cried, "Wifey, you are so cruel!"

Lin Ye got out and banged the door, "Are you getting out or what?"

The car they drove today was Lin Ye's old car. It was the one her grandfather had gifted her on her eighteenth birthday. She had never really used it but today she had no choice.

Chen Xi offered to drive while she gave him the directions.

Chen Xi was still feeling bitter about Lin Ye's action with Xie Nan so he was feeling a bit down. He got out and walked over to her and then she held her hands tightly.

"What do you think you are doing?" Lin Ye asked, confused.

Chen Xi looked at her deeply, "Holding my wife's hands."

Inside the house, the ceremony was about to begin.

Han Shuoxi and Lin Xue were still talking to Han Shuoxi's parents.

The receptionists were ushering more people in and after about ten minutes everyone was already sitting on the arranged chairs.

The sitting arrangement was divided into sections in accordance to the level of the guest.

There was a VIP section and also a VVIP section

Light music played from the speakers. There was free food that everyone helped themselves with. Lin Xue was smiling at everyone while Han Shuoxi was holding her waist lovingly.

One of the guests commented, "I am not getting married unless someone looks at me the way Han Shuoxi looks at Miss Lin."

Another one commented, "The two of them make such a lovely couple! I am so jealous."

Yet another one said, "Rich and powerful families get married for convenience purposes yet the couple are marrying out of love, this is so rare!

Xie Nan who had already entered the venue cursed, "What is so rare about this?"

He could not believe how these people thought!

Once he got in, he was immediately the center of attention. Several women stared at him hungrily while the reporters went close in order to try and interview him but he declined.

Xie Nan could be considered the prince of the capital. He was handsome and also super rich. This was the perfect combo for the women who came in today.

They were already scheming on how to get close to him as soon as they saw him!

Xie Nan felt eyes on him. He almost ran away!

Mama, I want to go back home! I am so scared!

He cried but no one listened to him.

Lin Xue saw him and walked over, "Brother Xie, thank you for coming over!"

She was giddy with excitement but Xie Nan simply wanted her to leave as soon as she came over, "No worries...no worries."

Lin Xue looked abashed, "I tried to invite sister today but she declined, I hope you don't look for her much and get disappointed."

Xie Nan looked at her as if she was an idiot.

Lin Ye refused to come? Then who was the person he was speaking to outside just now?

It seemed as if Lin Xue had no idea Lin Ye had come. He was not about to spoil the fun so he simply kept quiet about it.

Lin Xue knew of the deep fascination Xie Nan had for Lin Ye and that was why she spoke of those words.

Xie Nan simply shook his head, "Don't worry, I did not come for her today."

With that, he sauntered off. Lin Xue watched his back and dug her nails deep inside her palms again. This time they were about to bleed.

She had tried all her life to get close to Xie Nan but he always shook her off yet when Lin Ye was finally introduced to the Lin family, Xie Nan immediately became friends with him!

The Lin and Xie families could be considered friends in the industry and once or twice Xie Nan was brought over to play with her but every time she got close to him he would walk off!

Lin Xue was often angered by cuch behavior but there was nothing she could do about it!

She walked back to her grandfather but then she had murmurs.

Everyone was looking at something at the entrance.

She turned around and her face was immediately devoid of color.

Someone next to her xclaimed,

"Who is that?"
