Lin Ye pondered over his request for a moment but the she shook her head No.

The Lin family was full of vultures that were waiting to scavenge on your food when you weren't looking, it was not a place to take someone like Chen Xi.

Chen Xi felt like her answer was reasonable yet he still insisted. The Lin family, judging from how Lin Ye was being cautious might not be as simple.

Chen xi said, "The perks of going with me are many."

Lin Ye looked at him, "Like?"

She had never met someone who blatantly bragged about how they look!

Chen Xi moved closer to her and argued, "That was first...first alright, you have not listened to the other ones.!"

He held out one of his fingers and shook it in front of her face in a funny manner, Lin Ye burst out into laughter.

Lin Ye stopped wearing her shoes, "Okay, let me listen to you, what are the other perks?"

Chen Xi was now fully in front of her, "Second, taking a person that looks better to your ex boyfriends engagement party is the best way to deal with them. You said it yourself in the morning, I am ultimately better than him an all ways!"

Lin Ye looked at him, he was indeed better looking than Han Shuoxi.

Lin Ye scoffed, "What is the third one?"

Chen Xi scooted over, "I am super rich. Richer than the Lin and Han families combined."

Lin Ye laughed at his face, "You don't even have a place to stay yet you are richer than the Lin and Han families combined, why don't you use that money to get yourself a house?"

Chen Xi laughed, he did not believe him after all but her statement was still funny.

"I have money but it is not with me."

Lin Ye laughed, "Oh really! then where is that money?"

Chen Xi looked at her, "Back home."

Lin Ye knew that if he said home that meant the universe he kept speaking of. He wondered how delusional he was becoming day after day, "I will admit you to a psychiatric clinic if you keep on speaking like this.!"

Chen Xi laughed, "How about this," He put his hands on his hair and plucked a few strands.

Lin Ye was shocked!

Chen Xi placed the strands of hair in her hand and said, "Run this through the database and see if you will find a match."

Lin Ye felt like she could fall, "Did it hurt?"

Chen Xi foze, he did not expect her to ask that, "Just a little bit, are you worried about me wifey?"

His demeanour changed and he became serious all of a sudden. He walked over and pulled a dazed Lin Ye to her feet, "Tell me, are you worried about me?"

Lin Ye was dazed. She somehow didn't know how things got at this point, "What...what?"

She stammered. Chen Xi hugged her lightly, "I am very happy that you are worried about me wifey."

Lin Ye stiffened in his embrace. One she became clear headed, she lightly pushed Chen Xi away, "It's alright, you have convinced me, let us go?"

Chen Xi laughed, "There is no need to be embarrassed wifey."

Lin Ye turned to him angrily, "I am not embarrassed!"

Her face was flushed. She did not know what had made her ask Chen Xi if she felt pain when he plucked hair off his head.

What she did know was that she felt pain when she saw her do it. It was unexplainable.

She looked at Chen Xi deeply, what was this man doing to her?

Ever since his arrival, Chen Xi confused her with his words and also his actions. Like right now, he was still confusing her.

She did not comment on it. She simply held his hair strands tightly in her hands.

Chen Xi smiled, "Let us go somewhere first before we go?"

Lin Ye looked up, "Where?"

Chen Xi smiled mysteriously, "Don't worry about it, you will know soon..."
