Change In Course

Grace had gone to Rose's house so they could go to school together, since their house isn't that far from each other. She trudged along the sidewalk, her feet heavy with each step. Rose walked beside her, her backpack hugging her back tightly. The sun had barely risen and the morning air was chilly, but Grace barely felt it, her mind preoccupied with thoughts of Nathaniel. She had spent the previous night tossing and turning in her bed, unable to shake off the questions Rose had asked her about Nathaniel. Did she like him? Was she attracted to him? And if so, why was she holding back? The date was magnificent, he was magnificent and she feels as if, he could be every girl's dream guy. He's so cute and dreamy, he's clueless most of the time and he is kind.
