Chapter 270: She's Not Quite What She Imagined

It was Rebecca Kelloway's voice.

Perhaps because Joanna hadn't answered immediately, the knocking sound came again: "Joanna, I have a few words I'd like to talk to you about. May I come in and talk to you?"

Before Joanna could respond, the bedroom door was pushed open with a "click."

Rebecca walked in from the outside.

Seeing Joanna lying in bed with her eyes open, Rebecca frowned and said somewhat discontentedly, "I thought you were asleep, but you weren't."

Joanna had no real issues with this woman who secretly loved her husband.

Firstly, Rebecca had known Ashton Heath before her.

They had been close for many years.

Secondly, she knew very well that Ashton did not have other intentions towards Rebecca, treating her only as a friend.

She had no reason to be jealous or to feel insecure.
