Vytal Festival

In the Beacon Academy Dorm, Shirou who was sleeping soundly in his room, woke up because the digital clock on the small table ringing, he slowly opened his eyes, rose from the bed and press the button on the digital clock. He went to the restroom, wash himself well, brush his teeth and changing to his uniform.

Shirou: (Standing Silently) [I… didn't expect, that Cardin will ignore my warning.]

A few days ago, when the students received an request to gather a jar of red sap, something unexpected happened. Cardin ignored Shirou's warning and went to look for Jaune and attack him. Shirou, who was watching Jaune and Pyrrha from afar, was angry but also surprised by Cardin's actions. Pyrrha, who accompanied Jaune, could not do anything because Cardin brought his team members with him.

The words and actions that Jaune and Cardin did actually followed the scenario in the anime RWBY, which attracted Shirou's attention. He decided to watch them, and if there were problems he would go help them.

After watching them for a few moments, he noticed a change in the scenario. Jaune did not run away nor hesitate in fighting Ursa who suddenly came to attack them. When the monsters come, Cardin's team members ran away and left him with Jaune and Pyrrha.

Shirou was surprised because Jaune was able to fight Ursa. Even so, he was able to defeat the monster its because Pyrrha helped him. But still, Jaune has made progress which makes Shirou feel relieved for some reason.

The next days, Shirou thought of giving RWBY and JNPR team members the same three skills as Jaune's.

After thinking carefully, Shirou decided to give them the three special skills. Although some of them were a little confused by Shirou who suddenly touched them, Shirou managed to give them all three of the same skills as Jaune. Even though it takes a few shop points, he feels more relieved because now he doesn't need to worry anymore when that day comes, Fall of Beacon.

Shirou came out of the room, and went to the dormitory rooftop. Jaune, who was waiting, saw Shirou who finally arrived.

Shirou: [Tomorrow is the day when the RWBY team will make preparations for the upcoming Vytal festival. For unknown reason, Ruby invited me to accompany them. Haa... even though I want to rest for a while. But I can't just refuse my little sister request. Whatever, I'll only accompany them. What could go wrong?] (Smiles wryly)

Jaune: (Tilted his head in confusion) What's wrong, Shirou?

Shirou: Nothing… (Look at him) Alright, Jaune. Let's start the training. (Jaune smiled and responded by nodding his head)

On a side street in the city of Vale, a jacketed young man with black hair is eating a chocolate bar while standing calmly.

Some of the girls who walked past him couldn't help but glance at the young man with black hair. The young man who aware of their glances, turned to look at them and revealed a smile. The girls' faces turned bright red, and then they ran while screaming.

Shirou: Why did they run? (As he said that, Ruby and her teammates approach him)

Ruby: Brother Shirou, did we make you wait too long?

Shirou: Not really, I actually just arrived 2 minutes ago. [Well, I actually waited here for an hour. But, I'd better not tell them this.] Rather than that, are only you guys coming? Where is the JNPR team? (As he said that, he finished eating the chocolate bar)

Ruby: Jaune and his teammates can't come because they have other matters.

After talking for a few minutes, the five of them walked around the town of Vale. The street of Vale being decorated in time for the Vytal festival. Red, yellow, and green streamers and balloon are proudly on display, Shirou and the others is strolling through it all with with an awed Weiss in the front. Shirou who saw Weiss's expression could not help but chuckle.

Weiss: (Glaring at Shirou) What so funny?

Shirou: Nothing, it's just that this is my first time seeing that expression of yours. (Mockingly Smiles, and Weiss began to scold him) [From here, nothing has changed. Their dialogue line are still the same.]

The five of them continued walking while talking about the Vytal festival, then they stop near the docks and the sound of foghorns are heard. Ruby notices that a nearby dust store has been vandalized and robbed. According to some detective from the Vale Police Department, this is the second incident that weeks.

Shirou: […for an army, huh?] (Shirou glanced at his watch) [any seconds now…]

Sailor 1: Hey, stop that Faunus!

As Shirou and RWBY Team overhears the cry for help and rush over to investigate, a Faunus with a golden monkey tail is seen running down the length of the boat and leaping on the edge as the two sailor are about apprehend him.

Sun: (Looking back at his pursuers) Thanks for the ride, guys! Haha! (He jumps off and hits the dock running)

Shirou: (Looking at the Monkey Faunus) [There he is, Sun Wukong.]

When other sailors arrived, Sun was using his tail to hang on a lamppost while he peel back a banana. Before he eat, one of the detective down below throw a stone at him to get his attention.

Shirou: (Watching Sun playing with the detective and the other sailor) [As his name implies, he looks like a character from a Chinese movie that I watched with my cousin.]

He though while watching Sun rush to his place. As Sun runs past Shirou and Team RWBY, he winks at an astonished Blake before he continues to be chased by the officers.

Weiss: (Holding up a finger) Quick! We have to observe him!

Weiss, Yang, and Ruby give chase. Blake stands still, lost in thought, Shirou pat her shoulders and she comes back to reality. The both of them glance each other before she nodded and follow her friends, Shirou also follow her from behind. The five of them round the next corner, but then Weiss bump into someone trips. She looks up only to see Sun jump on to a building and disappear from her view.

Weiss: No! He got away!

Yang call her and strangely points at the girl beneath her teammate. Weiss finally sees that she fell on a smiling girl, which startles the heiress and she hastily gets up.

Penny: (still down on the ground, smiling widely) Sal-u-ta-tions!

Ruby: Um… hello

Yang: Are you… okay?

Penny: I'm wonderful! Thank you for asking.

Yang: Do you… wanna get up?

Penny: (Thinks about this for a moment) Yes! (She leaps back on her feet while the the five steps back a little) my name is Penny! It's a pleasure to meet you!

Ruby: Hi Penny. I'm Ruby.

Weiss: I'm Weiss.

Blake: Blake.

Yang: Are you sure you didn't hit your head? (Blake hits her side) Oh, I'm Yang.

Penny: (Looking at Shirou) Hello! Whats your name?

Shirou: … (Standing still while looking at her, Ruby call him and he comes back to reality) Sorry, I lost in thought. (Looking back at Penny) I'm Shirou. Nice to meet you.

Penny: It's a pleasure to meet you!

Shirou and Weiss: You already said that. (They glance each other)

Penny: (Pauses again) So I did!

Weiss: Well, sorry for running into you! (They turn around and start walking away)

Ruby: (Waving her arm) Take care, friend!

Yang: (when they get far enough away from a startled Penny) She was… weird.

Weiss: (Looking to her right) Now, where did that Faunus riff-raff run off to?

Penny: (Suddenly in front of surprised Weiss) What did you call me?

Yang: (As Weiss looks back and forth in shock and Yang looks apologetic) Oh, I'm really sorry. I definitely didn't think you heard me!

Penny: No, not you. (Walks through the group and lean her head to Ruby) You!

Ruby: (Startled) Me! I-I don't know. I, what I, um, uh…

Before Penny could say something, Shirou appeared in between them. He looks like a brother who tried to protect his little sister from stranger.

Ruby: Brother Shirou…

Shirou: (Standing still while staring at Penny) Can you step back a little? You make my little sister uncomfortable.

Penny: (Pauses again) Oh, I'm sorry. (Take a step back and started talking again, she tilted her body to peek at Ruby) You called me "friend"! Am I really your Friend?

Ruby: Uuuum… (She looked at Shirou who keep staring at Penny, then she look over Shirou side while her teammate motion to deny her) Y-Yeah, sure! Why not?

Penny: (Shirou standing still with a calm expression and Ruby teammates comically faint, but Penny look overjoyed and laughs) Sen-sational! We can paint our nails, and try on clothes, and talk about cute boys!

Ruby: O-Okay.

Shirou: (Look at Ruby from his shoulder) [Her dialogue line is changed again.] (Look back at Penny) Penny, can I ask you something? What are you doing in Vale?

Penny: I'm here to fight in the tournament.

Weiss: Wait, you're fighting in the tournament?

Penny: (Saluting) I'm combat ready!

Weiss: Forgive me, but you hardly look the part.

Shirou and Blake: Says the girl wearing a dress.

Weiss and Ruby: (With her arms crossing) It's a combat skirt! (Glance at each other) Don't copy me!

Shirou: (Sighed and separate the two of them) Stop it, you two.

Weiss: (Realization Hitting) Wait a minute. (Walk over to Penny and grab her by the shoulder) If you're here for the tournament, does that mean you know that monkey-tailed… rapscallion?

Penny: The who…?

Weiss: (Holding a poor drawing of the criminal-in questions) The filthy Faunus from the boat!

Blake: Why do you keep saying that?!

Weiss: (Turning her attention from Penny to Blake) Huh?

Shirou: (Watching the both of the arguing with each other) [Haa… they started again.]

Yang: (Sliding up to Ruby, looking uncomfortable) Um, I think we should probably go.

Penny: (Popping up behind Ruby, smiling) Where are we going?

Weiss: So you admit it! The White Fang is just a radical group of terrorists!

Blake: Thats not what I meant, and you know it!

Shirou standing in front of a statue of an armored man with a sword and a hooded woman wielding an axe on an outcropping, he calmly staring at the two stone heroes.

After a few minutes, Blake arrived. She was not aware of Shirou's presence, because he had activated [Stealth]. Blake staring at the beowolf under the stone heroes in particular, for a few moments.

She closes her eyes and slowly lift her arms up to her bow and pulls the string to release the bow from her hair. Shirou looking at her with a sad expression, she wipes away a tears. On the verge of crying, she becomes startled when she hears a voice above her.

Sun: I knew you would look better without the bow.

Shirou: (looking at the two Faunus) [Now, what should I do?]
