224 The Start Of The Plan

Haru went to the kitchen and gave Queresha a goodbye kiss before going to find Kanae in the training room. This is the kind of thing that happens sometimes.

"I am going to the academy," Haru said to Kanae.

"...Then why are you telling me that?" Kanae spoke with a blush since she knew why he said that.

Seeing her getting shy Haru gave her a kiss which caused her blush to deepen but she didn't flip out and just looked away from him.

"Then I'll be going," Haru said with a smile and Kanae waved her hand without looking at him.

"What about my goodbye kiss?" Alea who was also there asked with a smirk and Haru looked behind her.

'Oh shit,' Alea understood what happened and looked back to see Kanae glaring at her.

"You want a goodbye kiss, eh?" Kanae asked making Alea scratch her face and look away but Alea didn't deny it.

"Alright then you will be getting a kiss today," Kanae said with a demon-like face.

"Wait really?" Alea was pumped as she didn't believe that Kanae would let her make advances on Haru in front of her.

Seeing her excited expression Kanae's lips twitched with veins appearing on her forehead.

"Yes, from death that is," Kanae spoke and on that day Alea admitted that she was trained so hard that she met death face to face and got a kiss from it.

But she still didn't regret trying to flirt with Haru, No pain No gain.

In the depth of Beast's Glade, Seris and Melzri were sitting inside a dungeon.

'We are free to go back, But how will I be moving forward? Should I accept his offer and play an informant?' Seris thought seriously, she herself wasn't sure if there was any other way for her to achieve her plan of saving Alacrya from being destroyed by Agrona. She has seen how that man cared for nothing as long as his goal was achieved.

She was still shocked at how she was alive even after giving out information about Agrona, Haru gave her a proposal that if she helps him get information from Alacrya he would let them go.

'I guess that is a plausible reason for him to keep us alive since as Scythes we are privy to a lot of information and since the Asuras are too prideful, a lot of orders are carried out by us as well, Even if he is stronger than the purebloods but I guess he still lacks manpower, And this is the best bet to fulfill my goal,' Seris nodded since after her talk with Haru things started to make sense. Haru was strong, stronger than any she had ever seen in her life, and to her, he was the only one who could contend with Agrona's army.

'It looks like Scythe Seris is troubled about what to do next,' Melzri thought while looking at Seris who was lost in her thoughts.

It made sense to Melzri since if they go back now there is no way Agrona is welcoming them with open arms, especially after they were thrown away. In the worst-case scenario, they might even get interrogated to get more information about Haru.

"Alright let's go," Seris said flatly as she stood up.

"Huh, are we really going back?" Melzri was shocked but Seris was already started to set up the teleportation portal.

"Then where are we supposed to go?" Seris spoke with a blank look.

"But we would be killed or worse w-"

Seris interjected the anxious Melzri.

"Nothing will happen to us,"

"Huh?" Seris's words surprised Melzri.

"I am saying nothing will happen to us, We will be back to doing our duties," Seris said calmly while looking at Melzri.

"But we are in the most precarious situation right now, We will be viewed as traitors for sure, I should've known that pervert of a man was up to no good when he let us go," Melzri spoke with a frown while calling Haru a pervert, since in her mind he was the one who tied her in that way while looking at her lecherously.

"No it is clear that we are innocent, We are alive without a single scratch that is prove enough that we didn't give out any information, And I won't let someone who pledged their allegiance to me die like this," Seris said with a smile. In truth, she did spit out everything she knew about Agrona and how he would bring about the destruction of the whole world.

But since they are alive, so they were free from suspicion on that end, And there is another reason that Agrona won't do anything to them instead...

"Since you two are back now, rest for a while after that you two will be in charge of the Dicathen plan," Agrona spoke in a monotone voice with an indifferent look.

"As you say High Sovereign," Seris spoke respectfully and left the room with a dazed Melzri, she was shocked ever since she had left Dicathen after hearing Seris's plan.

"Scythe Seris it was as you said, it looks like I was worried for nothing," Melzri sighed while Seris nodded, It went as Haru told her.

Not only did Agrona let them off without any questioning, but He also put them in a key position.

'But that is only on the surface, he is still wary of us and has put us in the most dangerous position, for now, It can also be said that we are sacrificial pawns not that we were any better before,' Seris thought while reaching her office with Melzri.

Even though Agrona has put a Soul seal on them that only prevented them from giving out information but it didn't have any countermeasures for betrayal. Agrona doesn't know what every one of his subordinates is doing or thinking.

This is also the main reason Agrona is under the assumption that Melzri and Seris are under Haru now but even if they are it is useless since they can't give him any useful information as being put in charge of the Dicathen Plan and that pretty much kills their usability as spies.

'Even if it looks like an important job we have been kept away from the main stage since the Dicathen Plan holds no chances of success unless…' Seris looked at Melzri because she was acting a bit weirdly.

"What happened Melzri?" Seris asked.

"Ah, I feel weird around my chest and butt, Why is Scythe Seris fine we were tied by the same rope?" Melzri complained.

'.....Maybe I should've left you behind after all,' Seris thought with a deadpan look while looking at Melzri who took off her shirt to find light red marks on her body. She saw how Melzri's face got red seeing these marks, seeing Melzri shake her head quickly Seris sighed.

'I should go and meet Caera to have some of her cooking,' Seris pouted looking outside the window to see a black crow, The same one who was sitting on the throne's headrest during her audience.

'I just need to do my part and the innocent lives will be saved,' Seris thought as the crow went away flapping its wings.

***

A few days have passed since Haru decided to let Seris and Melzri go, The Xyrus City has been extremely peaceful with Haru and the gang having fun like usual while training.

The Academy, however, had a little incident with the tri-union Hall going up in flames, fortunately for the students D.C took swift action and evacuated everyone before someone got seriously injured.

Even though they weren't able to find out the culprit for this incident, D.C was seen highly just based on their abilities to reduce the Racial bullying cases while keeping the Students safe and their supervisor was an eye candy to everyone so no one was complaining, the next day there was a notice saying that D.C will find the culprit no matter what.

Currently, it was late into the evening and all of the D.C officers were gathered in the meeting hall to discuss what to do with the ones who burned down the Tri-union Hall.

"Why does that Professor run off on his own when he asked us to work here?" Randel spoke angrily, The others couldn't do anything more than smile wryly.

Haru said that he will leave this case to them since it will be good practice for them, And he also asked Tessia, Randel, and Elijah to join in.

"Yes, Why do we have to work here while he gets to have dinner with his beautiful wives?" Elijah pouted.

"If the professor doesn't have dinner with his wives then who will?" Kai asked with his signature smile.

'It is good that he is gone from here or the attack would've been harder,' Kai thought while looking around the room. All of their targets are in this room and it is about time to execute the plan.
