Intentions and Information

One second…..two seconds…..three seconds…..

Nothing happened, as if it was a surprise.

Behind the porcelain mask, Jagrette has a twisted expression as her corrosive smoke didn't do anything.

"I do feel flattered but," Haru's voice sounded as Jagrette felt him grab her arms….

SPLASH*

Both of Jagrette's hands were ripped off her shoulders, she was shocked as she saw the green smoke vanish and Haru's body was still the same.

"It is a No from me," Haru said and Jagrette felt her back was covered in cold sweat.

"[Plants Coffin]" Jagrette shouted as vines as thick as 2 meters rose from the ground circling around both Haru and herself.

The vines had a murky green color with thorns coming out of them they instantly covered both Haru and Jagrette. The vines were even more toxic as the ground was corroded as it made contact with it.

But just as she was touched by the vines she vanished from the encirclement and appeared outside and quickly appeared outside where the vine whips she used before were.

She looked at the ball of vines that were slowly getting tighter and made a beeline for the trees in the surrounding.

She jumped straight into a Big tree as if she went inside it.

"[Tree healing]" Jagrette's voice sounded and the Tree was reduced to just dust and Jagrette came into view with her arms healed they were as good as new.

"I didn't expect, I would need to use this," Jagrette said as she looked at the vine ball with hateful eyes, That guy had ripped off the sleeves of her dress and she couldn't even torture him.

"It is because you are weak," Haru's voice came beside her taking her by surprise she wasn't even able to feel his presence but her eyes widened as she jumped back and made distance between them.

"You shouldn't have let me know of your presence pretty boy, I'll make you regret not killing me when you had the chance," Jagrette growled as she looked at Haru who had a carefree expression while leaning on the tree trunk but there was something strange.

'Did he get taller?' Jagrette said as she looked up at Haru in shock.

"And how are you going to make me regret that in your current situation?" Haru said plainly as he looked at Jagrette who was lying down on the ground with her arms and legs cut off. She was surprised to see herself in the pool of her own blood.

'When did this happen? He didn't even attack, Why are my limbs chopped off? How did he get so strong all of sudden?' Jagrette was panicking as she saw Haru walk toward her. She was able to fight with him before but then suddenly she was lying on the ground there is no way she is going to accept this.

She vanished from where she was lying and went through a few trees to heal herself after she was done the trees were reduced to dust once again.

"Let's see if I can make you regret this or not," Jagrette spoke with a deranged tone as hundreds of vines shot up from the ground and attacked Haru who was looking at her.

"What are you yapping about? You are still on the ground," Haru said as he walked towards the stunned Jagrette who looked around and saw that all of her vines weren't there and she was still lying in the pool of her own blood.

"Let me tell you one thing," Haru said as he reached in front of her.

"You have been lying here from the start as I searched through the memories of those guys, so if you were thinking that you were putting up a fight then, you are dead wrong," Haru said as he crouched in front of Jagrette who had fear in her eyes as she looked at Haru sharp red eyes that gleamed under the light.

'I have been lying here from the start? I was in an illusion?' Jagrette was in denial that someone as strong as her could be defeated so easily.

"Oh, and one more thing," Haru suddenly said as his hands had a porcelain mask in his hands.

"I can see why you would want to wear a Mask," Haru said as he crushed the mask in his hands.

Jagrette's face twisted as Haru saw her corroded skin with a small horn on her forehead.

Haru didn't waste any more time and placed his right hand on top of Jagrette's head yanking her soul out of her body without even giving her a chance.

Haru looked through her memories, He saw the seal on her soul was stronger than one before but it was no use in front of the Rinnegan.

The seal's purpose was to kill the person when they divulge any information but what if someone read the memories from their souls rather than asking them?

Haru quickly saw Jagrette's memory from her childhood to her teens when she was a beautiful woman but then she was given the chance to become the retainer of Viessa Vritra after that her body was corroded by her element and her beauty was lost forever.

'Ugh I feel dirty,' Haru thought as he saw how Jagrette had tortured several beautiful women by burning their skins and faces and much more that he wished he didn't see.

"Anyway this is certainly a problem," Haru muttered.

It hasn't even been more than 30 seconds since Jagrette came here and Haru had already finished them all in about 5 seconds. After Haru sorted out all of the memories, he came to know this group's purpose here.

The two missions they had were these; First was to kidnap Zenobia and take her back to their 'God', there was no reason given to this cannon fodder other than 'Do not harm her, in any way or your dead meat,' there was a 'The plan has been moved forward, so we need to get this person asap,' This was all that was told to this woman by her superior.

'It isn't hard to guess what they are planning; I have seen memories of them building ships and other things to carry soldiers across the sea, which means…..' Haru paused for a bit to take a look at the magic circle but all the stone had vanished after with the portal. so that means it was a one-time use thing. Haru wasn't worried as he found some on Jagrette's dimensional ring along with a few interesting things in it.

"They can't use these portals stably at the moment or they would've already taken over this continent, so their only way to get here is by ships, and to make such powerful ships they need a Master Blacksmith, and I can tell that they want more than just ships made by Zenobia," Haru nodded at he said. he understood why they were after Zenobia now.

As for the second mission, It was about to either get the beast that caused the huge explosion in the Beast Glades or to get as much info as possible.

When Haru looked at Raum who was the cause of all this and after reading the search team's memories he saw that they didn't know anything about Raum, so that was done as well.

There is no danger to him in this whole situation, they don't know anything about him yet but considering that they have so many spies around the continent it will be soon that they notice him.

But Haru was sure they won't take him seriously as they don't know how powerful he really is, to them he was just an extra lance so they'll ignore him for sure.

They weren't really a problem for him it was too easy to deal with them, But...

"They are too powerful for this continent, and this is just a retainer and she is already way stronger than Bairon she can easily take out three or four Bairons, there are 4 scythes and the one they call god, eh." Haru was amused at this and he had seen some of the scythe's power from the memories and he wasn't impressed in the slightest.

'The strongest Scythe is at most one and half times of Kamish level, They are weak and pathetic. And I don't have much expectation from this so-called God, and there seems to be a third faction as well...' Haru paused for a bit and looked at Raum who was hovering over the corpses of the 8 people from before as he discharged the golden powder from his wings.

FLARE*

All 8 bodies burned in dark red flame without even leaving ashes behind, it was like they weren't even there to begin with.

Haru had already checked their belongings and there wasn't a single useful thing in them other than Zenobia's schedule, which showed Haru how closely they had watched her in order to make this.

They even had the daily routine of Randel which wasn't surprising but Haru that there was no mention of him in here so that means the spies have moved before he went there.

"Anyway, I'll take this as a gift," Haru smiled as he put Jagrette's corpse in his inventory and Raum sat on his shoulder arranging his feathers.
