Chapter Thirty-eight

EVELYN'S POV

We got home a tad bit faster than usual because at some point Eros had to speed up and I didn't know why maybe he was uncomfortable being in the same space with me for so long. That was for the best though, since the last conversation we had in the morning we haven't said anything to each other even while we were at his parents. The awkwardness and tension between us is at its peak and I am not ready to be the first person to take the first step in starting a conversation with him.

I went into my room and he on the other hand rushed into his study. Since we had lunch earlier I decided to complete the rest of my school work besides it will be the best distraction for me for the main time, while studying I got a call from Ethan

"Hello Evelyn...How are you doing?" Ethan asked me over the phone
