Chapter 73 End of the battle

The battle was almost over. The majority of the council soldiers got killed. No one could come to help Virgil since Dario had managed to block the reinforcements at the border.

The soldiers encircled the packhouse and captured Virgil. They made him kneel in front of Dario.

Virgil glared at him with loathing.

"Eyes down," Dario roared. "Your game is over, Virgil."

"My game is not over yet," Virgil sneered. "This battle will soon turn in my favor."

"Dream on. All the soldiers that Alpha Laurel sent got killed at the border. No one is coming to your aid."

Virgil burst out laughing.

Dario frowned, perplexed. He exchanged a curious glance with Gayle.

"Alpha Laurel… Hahaha…" Virgil couldn’t stop laughing. "Didn't you know he and his entire army were killed?"

Dario frowned even harder when he realized Virgil had tricked them yet again.

Virgil stopped laughing, his expression turning gloomy. "Poor Laurel… He wouldn’t have gotten killed if he had accepted my offer."
