Chapter 57 Punishing the captured council soldiers

Gayle grabbed a pail of water from the corner of the cell and splashed it on him.

"Ah…" Lupin woke up with a jolt. He grimaced as a searing sensation spread across his body. He blinked several times and glanced up. When he spotted Blaze standing in front of him, a shudder rushed down his spine. He imagined Blaze transforming into a beast and tearing him apart.

"Let me go," he cried at the top of his lungs, wiggling even more frantically. "Please let me go."

"Of course, I'll set you free," Blaze scoffed and moved towards him. "Answer my question, and you will gain your freedom. Don't even think of lying to me. Lie to me, and I will kill you."

Lupin regarded him with a frown as if he couldn't understand how Blaze could talk like a sane person. He wondered how Blaze recovered from the effects of the drug so quickly.

"Where is Alma?" Blaze asked.

"Oh… So, she escaped." Lupin smirked. "She is quite astute… more qualified than you to be the alpha."
