Chapter 51 Triana and Blaze face to face

Triana stepped back unwittingly, her hand flying to her mouth. She had imagined a lot of things when she first heard about Blaze turning into a beast. She also anticipated Alma torturing him. But Blaze’s condition was far worse than she had imagined.

"Why is he like this?" She murmured, looking up at Gayle.

Gayle shrugged and said, "Alma drugged him from time to time to drive him crazy. The council guards then whipped and jabbed him with sharp objects. They didn't give him time to recover from his injuries. They provoked his inner beast and then tortured him. It’s painful to watch."

He let out a frustrated groan, running his fingers through his hair. "I sneaked inside his cell every night after the guards went to sleep and put some healing paste on his wounds. If not, he would have died by now because of the continuous madness and torture."

"He didn’t attack you!" Triana murmured in astonishment.

Gayle sighed and said, "I am not sure why he never attacked me."
