Not my day

come in handy someday I said and grabbed one.

“What the pen for?” Jane asked in a low tone

“Look over there,” I  said moving my eyes to Rachael, and Jane gaze landed on Rachael.

“Oh, she doesn’t have a pen,” Jane said taking the pen from me.

“Here take you can use mine,” she said handling Rachael the pen she steal a glance at me and then took the pen from Jane immediately and stare at her.

“Thank you,” she mumbled and started writing

I kind of think it's my fault she lost her pen.

                                                            Rachael POV

I must have lost my pen on the road earlier, I even have a small injury on my knee now, what will step mum say. 

I was lost in thought and didn’t realize when Tessy came and sit beside me.

“You are late today.” I beamed

“Oh I was up all night yesterday and struggle to wake up today,” she said starring at the countless books on my lap.

“Where is your bag?” she asks starring at my book and my injured knee

“My step mum took it and gave it to Lisa because she said she wanted my bag,” I replied and she look around the classroom. I knew she was looking for Lisa.

“Where is that wench I don’t see her anywhere?” Tessy asks

“She is not coming to school today; she was up all night in the club and couldn’t wake up,” I replied

“And what with the injury on your knee did your step mum spank you again?” she asks raising a brow.

“She always does but I promise you this isn’t her doing, I nearly got hit by a car today on my way to school,” I

replied and her eye widened.

“Oh sorry, I thought you guys have a car?” she asks

“Yes we do but it’s literally Lisa’s I don’t have the privilege to use it when she is not going to school and even when she is going it’s off-limit.” I declared.

“You are suffering a great deal in your father’s house, I think you should consider running away from home and living with me.” she offered to look at my injury.

“That will be worst my dad will get angry and kill me whenever he sees me.” I grinned  

“You are too afraid of him.” Tessy remarks

“Why won’t I be, I know what I have faced you wouldn’t understand,” I replied looking down.

“Those two girls stand up and remain standing it seems you come here to gossip.” the teacher said talking to me and Tessy this is awkward I said standing with Tessy and dropping my books on the chair.

“When you have finished gossiping then you can sit,” he said and we attempt to sit

“Are you nuts!! He asks annoyed

“But sir you just ask …….

“Oh shut up,” he said and everyone laughs at us.  I look down embarrassed.

“So as I was saying different pianist different songs .........
