Fragment Of Her Memory

Luna and Andrea were standing just a few feet from the unidentified woman. The woman was slowly walking in the fields of red roses with her hands grazing the soft petals of the flowers. The three of them are currently in a big garden filled with different kinds of flowers. Looking at the garden, it seemed like it had been cared for and maintained well. Upon staring from afar, you could see a big three-story mansion.

'This place must be from someone influential' Andrea thought to herself as she averted her line of sight back at the unknown woman whose face they still couldn't see.

Just looking at the woman from her back view, you can instantly tell that she was from a noble family. Her stance, her dress, and even the way she moves; are graceful and delicate. Something Andrea knew was far from how she is. But something about this woman feels off. She looks…oddly familiar. Due to curiosity, Andre couldn't help but ask.

"Where hell are we?" Andrea blurted out as she turned around and faced Luna who was also observing the woman from afar. Hearing that, Luna shifted his eyes down at Andrea as he answered obediently. with his usual business smile.

"In someone's memory."

With that being said, Andrea furrowed her brows as he stared at Luna as if he was an insane person. And because of that, Andrea returned back with another question at the other party.

"What? I thought I was supposed to meet someone?" Andrea questioned the man with a perplexed expression and tone of voice.

Upon seeing the look on Andrea's face, Luna just chuckled as she wrapped his left arm around Andrea's back and made her turn around.

"Hush now, my lady. Let us watch for now. We will get with that later." He said as he leaned down, whispering once again into Andrea's ear.

Shivers went down her spine upon hearing Luna's voice drop as he whispered. Because of that, Andrea submitted and remained quiet. While observing the woman, Andrea saw a guy wearing an expensive dark blue suit walk toward the woman. And what's appalling is that it is someone Andrea knew.

"What is that—"

"Keith."

The brunette haired woman cutted Andrea off as she called on the man that stood a few feet from the same woman.

"Your hard work has been appreciated. But you need to go. I have no need of you anymore." Keith with his stern tone of voice and a blank expression on his face. He stared at the woman with a cold gaze which would make any person uncomfortable. The woman remained silent upon hearing Kieth's cold words.

On the other hand, though Andrea and Luna were pretty near the other two, it did not seem like they saw them. Maybe it's because of the fact that this is only a memory. A recollection from the past. Andrea and Luna just remained silent as they observed the other party.

"Is that it? After all the years I was supporting you on the side, this is the goodbye I get? How cold, as always."

The woman responded as she laughed softly afterward, it was rather a sadful laugh. She then turned her body angle a little on the side which made Andrea take a better look at the woman's face. And upon seeing it, Andrea was surprised as her eyes slightly widened. But she immediately went back with her serious expression as if she expected the woman's identity but was still surprised nevertheless.

The suited man, Keith, standing before the pitiful woman just stared at her as he would stare at any of his incompetent employees. Eyes full of displeasure and sympathy. Keith then continued, still having the same expression and tone of voice. "Yes, it has been a long time since I had your company. You must be enduring it hard, huh. Acting like a goody two shoe just to catch my attention. So pathetic." Keith sarcastically taunted, whispering the last sentence under his breath as if he was trying to let it not be heard.

Hearing that the woman flinched as she hung her head low. Her hands slowly curled into fists, clearly shaking from anger.

"It's not like you're any better. Using other people just for your own benefit. You must be proud of where you are now," The woman rebutted firmly with her head still slightly hung low. She has the will to talk back at him, but not the confidence to stare right back at his daggering cold game after all those years.

Andrea crossed her arms as he observed their conversation unfold. She immediately deduced what was happening in this scenario. It was clear what Keith was trying to do, he was trying to get off the woman by telling her hurtful words. And what's worse is that the words he was saying at her came from his heart. He meant it. While the woman just did it out of spite of him.

'A one sided love cliché' Andrea thought to herself.
