Chapter 23: Work (2)

Later on, Kiel and Max said goodbye to us and went to the bar. They might be alcoholics mind to go the bar in the afternoon. I didn't even know that the bar is opening at noon. Maybe they will drink at Kiel's house or wherever.

Kei and I left at the cafeteria. Like on our date, Kei is such a slow eater so she's still eating her food. I wait for her before going upstairs. While waiting, I'm checking one of the copies Mr. Alonzo send to me this morning. Maxine, Keisha's surname is Alonzo. That makes Keisha's dad the one who send it to me.

While checking the file, Kei suddenly touch my cheek and nose when I look up, she was grinning from teasing me. She said, " I'm done eating, let's go." I nodded and I set aside what we used to eat. Put it on the counter before going upstairs.

I went and ask Kei why she didn't go with them to drink. She answers, " Well, it's too early to drink and I have low tolerance so if I drink right now, I'll be sleeping till morning. Also, I want to spend my time with you even if it's working." She was too pure and innocent.

" Well, let's go eat out dinner later," I said to Keisha, she agreed and I go to my office.

I've done a lot with my paperwork, later and later I went to check Keisha's office to see if she is doing okay. I don't want her to put stress too much on her shoulder. As assistant to the CEO, I have more work than normal employees so I need to do overtime but l already said to Kei that we're going out so I'll just be home with some paper to do it at home.

Time passed quickly while we were working, I also didn't even notice the time because I was so focused on what I'm doing. Unexpectedly Kei knocks at my office door and said that it was already late. I instantly look at the clock to see what time is it already. I was slightly shocked at what time it is already. It's almost past nine.

Before even the restaurant closed we move quickly so we can still manage to eat dinner at her favorite restaurant. Fortunately, we still manage to catch up at the restaurant.

We enter the resto, not like before I order different and we didn't order any alcohol 'cause we still have work left.

" Now I realized, I left my paper that I suppose to take it home. I'll go right back to it after we eat. Wait for me so I can take you home later." I said to Kei and she slightly nodded her head up and down.

The food is served and we eat our dinner. I wait for Kei but not too long. We left the resto and ride the motorcycle, went back to the workplace to get the paperwork to take it home with me.

I take her home and get home safely. Before going to bed, I arrange some paperwork to do tomorrow morning. I'm too tired to do anything so I'll just set an alarm on my clock one hour beyond my usual alarm. After arranging some paperwork and setting an alarm. I text Kei to say goodnight and went to sleep instantly.
