Chapter 18: Jeanette

I left the cafe and went to search where Jean is. I don't have time to ride my motorcycle so I run. After running not too far to the cafe, I saw Jeanneth at the corner of the store crying. I immediately ran into her and remove the jacket I'm wearing and placed it on her shoulder.

I can't face her, I said sorry before I invite her to my house cause my house is not too far from the location where we are. At first, she insisted to come with me and then I realized that it may be bold to invite a girl that has feelings for me to my house but I don't have a choice. Before the rain got stronger we should now go home.

Not too long, she agreed and came with me to the cafe to ride the motorcycle I left at the cafe. I was too dumb to ride a motorcycle in the rain but we are already wet so I don't have a choice so we went back and ride my motorcycle.

We arrived at my house and enter it. We're wet because of the rain, I first let Jean wash herself before she caught a headache and got sick. While she bathing I prepared her clothes and wash her clothes, I put them in the dryer so they can dry in no time.

She comes out of the bathroom and I immediately left the room so she can change. After she came out of the room I enter the bathroom and go to the shower.

I made coffee for both of us to keep us warm. After a silence, I start talking to break the silence. I said sorry cause for now that's all I can say.

" Sorry Jean, I know it's all my fault but you can't blame me."

" You know that we're not kids anymore, you should act at your age. We're already 23, act like an adult." Jean told me that slap me 'cause it's true.

" Yeah, thank you for considering your feelings. I know that you're always by my side but the one I want is her, you should know it. I rejected you before cause I also know that you also had feelings for Kiel at that time."

" Yeah maybe I have feelings for him but you know that you are the person I truly love, don't you?"

To all Jean said, that's true. I tried to love Jean but she's not for me. She's too kind and I don't want to abuse her kindness towards me.

" How long is it been?" Jean ask me.

" What? My relationship with her?" I didn't catch the sentence so I went to ask what she mean.

" C'mon until now you're so dumb, yes that's what I mean." She said like she was about to explode because of my stupidity.

" Maybe weeks or a month? I also don't know." I said while also confused and counting on my fingers. " I should not ask that you're making me furious."

" Sorry."

" ANGELICA" she shouted my name so I immediately said yes.

" If she hurt you, I will take you from her. I will treat you differently from what she's treating you." That's what she said. " You know, you look dumb with that words." I burst laughing as I heard what she said.

" C'mon, I'm being serious, I will take you from her, got it?" She said while pouting. I pinch her cheek and said yes while laughing. After talking to her my feelings lighten up. She may not look like sunshine but she is sunshine. After teasing her she gave me a warm smile and start laughing with me. Talking and talking, we just laugh at our problems.

It was just like minutes ago the atmosphere is so heavy but now we are laughing like nothing will be tomorrow and not paying attention to the surrounding. If I was a midnight rain, she was my sunshine.
