Michael In Trouble
I picked up the phone and spoke.
"Michael, I was just about to call you," I said.
"Oh really? Weird," he said and laughed.
Even though he tried to keep the tone as friendly as possible, I could tell something was off.
The way he laughed, his voice sounded like he was in trouble.
I sensed something like this the last time we spoke, but I denounced it as nothing.
And now there I was having that feeling again, something was definitely wrong.
'I'll hear what he has to say first, and if he doesn't bring up the issue, I'll have to get to the bottom of it myself,' I thought.
He was my friend, and what kind of friend would I be if my comrade was in trouble, and I did nothing to help.
I wanted to let him know that if something was bothering him, he could tell me.
"So what's up, why did you call? Do you need something?" He asked.
"Michael, is something wrong?" I asked.
