Chapter 2: It was you

It was quiet and awkward. My parents and My uncle and aunt were quiet while eating their food. I keep looking at my cousin who also feels the awkwardness between our parents. Our eyes met and signals me to go to the balcony of the restaurant. I signal him back and nodded.

"I need to get some fresh air. Excuse me" i said and went to the balcony. After a minute, my cousin follows. I laughed as soon as we went to the balcony. "Okay that was awkward" i said while still laughing. "Yeah, what's wrong with them? They aren't like this. Whenever we have dinner they would greet each other and talk about business" he said.

"I know right? Maybe they have important things to talk about and aren't comfortable with us around" i said and look at the view. It was a nice scenery. The city lights matches the stars in the sky. I took out my phone and takes a picture of it.

"Hey, where's your camera? I thought you always bring it everywhere you go even at a social gathering?" he asked. I sighed when i remember what happened to my 6 years old camera. "I broke it accidentally" i said.

"That's unusual" he said as he looked at the stars. "I'll just buy another one" i said and smile. "Is Three years the maximum time?" he asked. Suddenly, we became quiet. I dont know what to say. "Nevermind. I heard that you will be the one managing the company. Is it true?" he asked.

"Maybe? I dont know" i said. he sighed and whisper something. I smiled and shook my head. "Hey, you two! We'll go now" aunt said as we nodded. We bid goodbyes and went to our own cars.

"Uhm dad, i need a new camera" i said hesitantly. Dad look at me with his scary eyes. "Why? What happened to the first one?" he asked. I gulped. "I accidentally broke it. It slipped through my hands when i was taking pictures" i said while looking outside the window.

"You should've been careful" he said. Looks like he wont buy me one. Fine, I'll use my savings. As soon as we reach home, i immediately went to my art room. I prepare my art materials and started to paint. I finished painting at 2 am. I didn't even notice the time. I went back to my room and sleep.

Im glad that i wasn't late. I looked at the window and saw the same guy yesterday practicing. He kinda look cute though. I sighed when i remembered what he did yesterday. What a rude guy.

I continue to watch him. He looks so cool when he play soccer. Wait, i think he's also famous. He is the famous guy next door.

"You like him?" Dahlia said that surprised me. "Oh god, dont do that again. Im going to have a heart attack" i said as she laughs. "So you like him?" She asked once again. "What? Who?" i said then she pointed at the guy yesterday.

"WHAT? NO!" i said. She look at me in confuse. "Then why are you shouting?" she asked while smirking. "No, i dont like him. It's just that you ask something like that" i said. She took my phone and look at the gallery.

"Then, why do you have his picture?" she asked. "I accidentally took a picture of him. I didn't mean it" i said. "Okay, if that's what you said" she said and give back my phone. "Oh and by the way, you're blushing" she said and laugh again. "What the heck? No, im not" i said. I looked again at him through the window.

I was surprised when he looked at mu direction. I immediately look away. Okay, that was unexpected.

As always, i went to the back of the building but stopped when i saw him again sitting under the shade of the tree and the flowers beside him. I took out my phone and went near him silently. I took a phone. Glad that he didn't notice it. I sat on the other side of the tree and started drawing the flowers beside him.

"Oh you're here" he said that startled me. "Uhhm hi?" i said awkwardly. He sat beside me and look at my sketchbook. "Oh so you know how to draw. Oh, right. Im sorry for what happened to you camera yesterday. I'll buy you a new one" he said. Well i dont need one cause dad bought me one this morning.

"No need. I already bought one" i said and smile awkwardly. "Oh then what can i do to repay you instead? he asked. "How about be my model" i said

"Excuse me, what?" he said. "Uhm I'll just take some photos of you. If that's okay?" i said. I hope he agrees. He sighs and nodded. "Okay just for a day" he said.

"Let's start this Saturday" i said happily. "Fine, where?" he asked. "I was thinking about the beach but my parents wont allow me. How about lets visit a mountain? or a field?" i said

"Im fine with the field" he said and look away. "Okay, see you on Saturday" i said. He was about to leave but i stop him. "C-can i have your number?" i asked. He looks at me in confuse. "Don't misunderstand. I need to contact you" i said. He sighed and took out his phone. We exchange numbers and bid goodbyes.

"Ehem what was that?" dahlia suddenly appear out of nowhere. "Where did you came from?" i asked. "I was here the whole time even when you took a picture of his peaceful face" she said and laughs. Og god this is embarrassing.

"So you do like him?" she asked again. "I told you, i dont" i said but this girl keeps on asking. "Then, why did you took a photo of him?" she asked while smirking. Wait, why did i took a photo of him? Oh my god, what has gotten into me to took a picture of him?

"I don't know" i said. "It means you like him" she said but i shook my head. "But i took photo of different people" i said. "Oh right, i forgot about that" she said. The bell rang and the both of us head back to our classroom.

"You should like him" Dahlia said as soon as we went outside our room. "Please, not again" i said. she's been saying that the whole afternoon. "I just want you to have a boyfriend so we can have a double date" she said

"Nah im good" i said. I took out my new camera and look around. "You're looking for him?" she asked that makes me panic. "W-what? No. Im just looking for something interesting to take a picture. My exhibit should not be boring, right?" i said and she just look at me with a disbelief face.

"Okay, fine. I'll go ahead" she said and started screaming. "HARRISON! WAIT FOR ME!" i swear this girl sure is obsessed with her boyfriend. I was about to close my locker when that guy appeared. "Oh god, you startled me" i said. Oh our lockers were just beside each other.

'Gosh so close' i said to myself. I close my locker and started to walk away. Oh right, i dont know his name yet. I stop walking and look back on him but he was gone. 'Okay that was creepy' i thought.

I continue to walk around the campus and suddenly stop when i saw him petting the cat from yesterday. I took out my phone and take a picture but he notice it. 'Oh crap'

"Why did you take a photo?" he asked. I started to panic. "I was taking the photo of the cat" i said. He sighs and went near me. "Next time ask for my permission" he said and walk away.

"Wait, what's your name?" i asked. He stop walking and look at me. "Chase" he said and walk away. I look at the picture i've taken and smiles. 'I new it was you' i said to myself. "It's been a long time, Chase Kylo"
