An amazing fight
As the sun took its place on the western horizon, marking the sky in a nice and dark orange hue, an intense battle could be found in one of the many arenas.
In the mountain of Challenge and Choice, no one was really fighting, expect for the two. The two being me and brother Shun, obviously.
Our fight was legendary, for me at least, as blows and blows kept getting exchanged. Not that type of blow of course, if you really are thinking about what I think you are thinking…
It's the type of blows that were released after punches and kicks, which I and Shun kept throwing at each other, while we tried to evade the other. I for example, who was the first to evade, and the second to attack, after Shun came charging at me. At that time, when we did our second exchange, Shun came charging at me first since I didn't want to, because I was simply prepared to do another cool movement that didn't contain the movements of Tai chi alone.
When Shun left his stance to charge at me before throwing a punch at me, I was capable of backing away a few centimeters to receive the fist with my right palm, and with Shun's right fist captured, I went to to the offensive mode immediately.
My left hand that I had brought back a little, I stretched forward again, however, this time, it was aiming to receive a kiss from Shun's chin. That's right! I forgot what it is though, but it should be Brazilian jujutsu or something. Well… with my left hand pushing Shun's chin upwards, and my right hand pushing his fist back, Shun's body was completely unbalanced, leaving him vulnerable for my epic karate attack. That's right... His ability to move that is now completely out of his control, gave me the option to easily sweep the back of his leg. As a result, he fell towards the ground miserably.
Oh, how I'm glad for my amazing boost in speed and reaction time… Seriously! With the upgrade the my physical performance, making my mastered martial arts effective, was completely possible.
Yes, indeed my speed was fast. The battle took less than two minutes, so of course, speed was definitely the part that played a very crucial role. Wasn't it for my speed and strength that seems to be a little better than Shun, well... I might have gotten kicked by an elbow after I threw my palm at him. Heck! I might have not even been able to evade his punch! Oh, how great this world is! I really need to check my system later, by the way…
"You win…"
Since it was just a spar, Shun wasn't that shameless to go all out, or proud to aim for my death. Oh how I wanted to thank lady luck for letting me not face an arrogant and proud disciple that has his entire powerful family as his backing…
"It was all thanks to you for going easy on me, brother Shun." I tried to be humble.
"Alright everybody! The fight is over!" Shun turned his head, to notify the audience of him being done for the day.
"Hey! What is the champion's name?!"
"Yeah!"
The audience asked for my name. Oh wow! Am I going to become a celebrity?!
With the audience asking me for my name, Shun looked at me with a gesture that told me to tell him my name.
"It's Zhen Jiang. A newbie, and obviously an outer disciple." I answered to brother Shun.
"You heard that everyone! His name is Zhen Jiang! Although still an outer disciple, he is someone well versed in martial arts!" Brother Shun spoke loud and clear enough for everyone to hear. With everybody near the ring having heard my name, they all scattered away to go wherever they needed or wanted to, as they were already satisfied from the amazing fight, and the knowledge of my name.
"Here. Here's your reward." Shun proceeded to give me a pouch of thirty PP crystals, which he just took from his bag that was close to the platform. "You don't have to tell me the idea behind you're family's martial arts. It's something that belongs to your family, and it's a pretty strong martial art. It's not best to throw the knowledge of it around, like it's not worth a dirt. Although I really want to know, I'm already satisfied by your demonstration alone. Your family's martial art is more worth than you think. Appreciate it."
"I'll take that as an advice, brother Shun. Thank you." I of course, who was the most respectful person on earth, obviously showed him my regards. I almost displayed my joy after getting another set of Pp points, however, since I didn't want to look crazy, I tried hard enough to hide my emotions.
When I left the stage, I swear I could feel someone staring at me, like a stalker. It had to be those assassins, which I was sure of. I definitely attracted their attention after my brilliant performance, which might actually not be something bad. I hope they can take my answer to heart if I decline their invitation to become a disciple of their sect. If they don't accept my answer, their sect is definitely not the right sect. I don't think they're like that though. The woman that lost to Shun seemed pretty nice.
"Well… Xiayen. I have a very important friend that I need to go alone to right now. I hope you don't mind walking back alone." I told Xiayen when I was close to her. Phew! Thankfully, she wasn't that type of character, and still had a smile after I said what I said.
"No worries. It's already late, and I also have a few important places to rush too. Another day again?"
"Again what?" I wasn't to clear about what she meant.
"I don't know. We hang out, or you can come and visit me, perhaps? I can also go to you if you want. I don't know where you live though…"
"Haha, sure thing. I live in cabin four hundred sixty nine if you want to pay a visit. I might not be home as often as you are though."
"Sweet! Goodbye then." Xiayen replied happily, telling me goodbye as she walked away.
"Goodbye." I waved my hands too, before I left the mountain of Challenge and Choice as well.
