My Potential Billionaire Mate

A story about the life of a young werewolf who shared her life openly with everyone she loved changes in the blink of an eye on her 17th birthday. The first time she ever attempted to prove her strength to her pack and her family, she failed miserably. Her very first kiss, one that every girl hopes to be special, happened by force, but she found herself wanting more. Upon overhearing a conversation, she wasn’t meant to hear, she retreated into a world of seclusion. Now she is 18 years old, and she finally gets the opportunity to prove herself once more. But this time, she actually had to fully run a sacred Lunar Ceremony known only by the ancient packs; along with the celebration of her 18th birthday. Once every 50 years, the Lunar Ceremony is held, and this year, The Blood Moon Pack gets its chance to prove themselves. During this time, the Moon Goddess presents herself to the children of the moon. One thing was for certain, within the ancient texts, only the Elder’s knew the Moon Goddess chooses a certain wolf to be her chosen one; until the next Lunar Ceremony. Upon hearing some crucial details about the meaning of a TRUE Lunar Ceremony, and who Alpha Lockwoode is to her, Alexi is forced to have Aquafinia take over in a time of need. Instead of meeting the other Alpha's, she tries to find a way to calm herself down. Soon she finds herself in the garden, but she isn't alone for long. Once Justin makes his appearance, Alexi is overwhelmed with emotions and tries not to break down in front of him, she soon realizes that he is an alpha as well. As they are in the harden, Justin tries yet again to forcibly kiss Alexi and every attempt she makes to retreat back to the house is blocked, and he begins to verbally attack her until another male steps in to help. As if overhearing the conversation a year ago wasn’t enough, Alpha Lockwoode managed to save her from Justin and now bestowed upon her a pet name. As if the two knew they were going to fight over her, Justin retreated for now. Alpha Lockwoode managed to get information about who the other male was to Alexi, and began to show her she could trust him. The details of her birthday and the Lunar Ceremony were being prepared. How will she manage to survive an entire week with two Alpha's pursuing her? Was she even capable of doing all this? One this was for sure though, she had complete faith in the Moon Goddess to guide her heart fully.

The Final Preparations.

Being pulled into the house and into the living room, by Hazel. I sighed and looked around for my mother. "Where's mom Haze?" I asked softly, my eyes still scanning the room. "The kitchen I think?" Hazel said as she sounded puzzled herself. Rolling my eyes, I headed towards the kitchen. "Mom?" I called as I rounded the corner to the kitchen. There she stood with a smile on her lips. Stopping in my tracks, I was a little worried about her smile...seemed off. "Finally. Alright Alexi, I need you to tell me what colors you want on the Lunar cake." she spoke gently and looked at Hazel. As if she understood my mother's look, Hazel retreated out of the kitchen. "Uh, well light purple with some blue and pink, but you need to have them together mom." I told her, though she knew how to bake. "Alright darling. Now that we are alone though, about Justin." she spoke, her voice got low and scary when she mentioned Justin. "N...Nothing happened mom, trust me. A...Alpha Lockwoode intervened." I spoke with a slight stutter. My cheeks were flushed with color when she mentioned the situation. "I know darling. Just stay away from him. You can only deny one potential mate. But you must have a reason. And he showed you that reason multiple times. So be wise with that decision." my mother spoke gently, but with a stern undertone. "You can go relax with Hazel now. We will finish the final preparations after I finish the cakes." she added as she waved her hand towards me, now facing her back to me. Without a word, I left the kitchen and went to find Hazel. Something was off about my mother, I mean why would she tell me that? Shaking my head from the thoughts that seemed to question that further, I rounded the corner to find Hazel speaking to a young man. Slowly slinking back behind the door frame, I watched and listened closely.

"So this place is nice. Seems like your pack is well organized when it comes to these things." the young man spoke as he seemed to be putting on the charm. "Yeah, but this is the alpha's and pack house. We all have our own respected out-family houses elsewhere, but we are normally here." Hazel giggled softly as she looked into the man's eyes. Blushing at the scene unfolding before me, I felt it necessary to butt in, like she had done before. Acting like I just rounded the corner, I spoke with a curious tone, "Oh there you are Haze." Also acting as if I just saw the man, I spoke with a surprised tone, "Oh sorry. Hi." With a gentle smile, I gave a light wave. I noticed the man was quite tall, but not as tall as Alexander was. I took in this man's face and presence, then turned my attention back to Hazel. "I do apologize about interrupting here, but Haze we need to talk." I spoke with urgency in my voice. I then turned my back to the man and spoke gently with a light wave over my shoulder, "You can resume your conversation later. But at this time, I must take her for now." Rolling her eyes at me, Hazel looked at the guy she had been talking to. "I'll see you later at the Lunar Ceremony." she whispered with a gentle, but yet seductive tone. She then waved her fingers and followed after me.

As we walked away and out of sight, I could feel Hazel's eyes glaring into the back of my head. A smirk crossed my lips as we walked into my bedroom. Turning to face her, I gave an emotional sigh. Finally able to talk to my best friend, but didn't actually know how to explain everything happening. She looked at me confused and curious, Hazel smiled awkwardly. "Stop that." I told her, as I sort of got creeped out a little. "Well you deserve it for taking my time away from Nikolias." Hazel said as she stuck her tongue out at me in a teasing way.

As we giggled with each other for a moment, I took in a breath and sighed once again. "Look, we need to have a serious talk. I need your help more than ever." I told her, my body beginning to shake from nerves and fear. Hazel wrapped her arms around my body and held me close. "I'm listening." She whispered softly, trying to soothe me like she always did. "I don't know what I am going to do. One week in hell, and I've got to spend it with two men. One threatening my life and my pack. And the other is willing to sacrifice his life to save everything for me." I revealed to her bluntly with my emotions on high. I could feel my body heating up and my eyes filling with tears as if it didn't matter, I was already being held by Hazel. I finally couldn't stop myself, so I let myself go and cried into her momentarily.

"Everything has a problem and a solution, but no matter the problem the solution is always harder to figure out." Hazel whispered softly, pulling us apart. She looked into my eyes, and smiled softly Wiping my tears from my face, she cocked her head to the left. "You're so silly Lex." She said as she shook her head, then stood up. "I'm not letting you do this alone. So stop worrying too much. You are my best friend and will always be my one and only alpha." She finally said as she turned to face me. Holding out her hand, she smiled brightly. Her words always seemed to cheer me up, even if she wasn't trying. Taking her hand, I stood up and smiled. "Let's fix my make up and get back down stairs. Everything should be finished now." I told her, as we moved over towards my bathroom. Without hesitation, she followed after me. I was lucky to have a best friend like her, more than I could ever know.
