Surprise

Edward wrapped his hands around Diana and hugged her tightly. She closed her eyes and heaved a sigh.

Diana wriggled from his warm embrace. She wished she could stay in those arms forever because it felt like a safe place for her.

She wished she could bask in his warmth some more. Edward Knotted his eyebrows as he stared her step away from him, keeping some distance between them.

" You don't need to feel guilty.It's perfectly fine." She wiped tears from her eyes and her lips curled into a false smile which didn't reach her eyes.

" What have I done?" He asked in confusion as he tried to search for her eyes. Diana looked away as more tears flowed from her eyes.

" Knowing about my feelings won't change anything. I already promised my mother that I'm going to get married to my chosen husband." She said,
