22. Army Colonel

A convoy of five cars was speeding on the highway. All the five cars were black sedans. The convoy was of Ajay, he was going to meet Army Colonel Abhey Pratap Singh, who was introduced by his dad.

He asked Friday to check some information about Colonel. The man was stern and disciplined, he fought in the 1999 Kargil battle as the First lieutenant, he had made many merits and was promoted to Colonel.

It took around half an hour to reach Bathinda for Ajay. They reached on meeting place half an hour before the meeting time. Ajay went in along with his secretary, rest of the bodyguards spread out to cover the area to avoid any misconduct.

Ajay and Aahana went into the restaurant. The meeting place was a high end restaurant near the army cant. Ajay had already booked the place before and came into a soundproof room under the guidance of a waiter. He told the waiter to bring the army colonel to bring to the cabin.

They didn't wait for long, after just 15 minutes of waiting his secretary came in.

"Sir the convoy of Army colonel has arrived." Security chief Vikram Pratap told Secretary Aahana through wireless communication.

Ajay stood up and went outside of the room to welcome them at the gate. Soon few men in military uniform came under the guidance of a waiter. In front a dignified man with deep eyes and moustaches and a beard wearing a green turban with a red ribbon on it. He was Army colonel Abhey Pratap Singh. Ajay has seen his photo.

Ajay quickly went forward and greeted, "Good morning, Sir."

Army colonel came close to Ajay. He looked at Ajay from head to toe and then nodded. "You are Ajay right, you look like Amardeep when he was young, Good, good." He patted the shoulder of Ajay and laughed.

Ajay, secretary Aahana, Army colonel and 2 more men in army uniforms went into the soundproof room.

"You know me right." Colonel asked Ajay at which he nodded. "Then let me introduce, this is captain Nagesh and this is chief engineer Shravan Kumar from Military Engineering Services (MES)."

Ajay greeted them and then introduced himself. "Well sorry for the late introduction, My name is Ajaypal Singh, Chairman of Future tech. Sorry, I didn't have any contact with the military so I have to ask my father to introduce."

"Your father?" Captain Nagesh asked in a slight confusion.

"My father's name is Amardeep Singh, he introduced me to the Army colonel."

"Amardeep Singh, could it be that Ama...." While captain Nagesh said in bafflement, the Army colonel gave him a stern gaze and Captain stopped speaking on the spot. Ajay looked at both captains and colonel suspiciously. 'What he also knows my father? Could it be my father, No since I remember he has been a farmer, but still by Captain's and colonel's reaction, I will ask Friday to check my father's information. I am not suspicious about my father, I am just curious. To have contact with Army colonel, I just asked my father in just a case, but he really knew an army colonel.' Ajay thought in his mind.

While he was thinking Army colonel changed the subject."Ajay you don't have to call me Army colonel, just call me Uncle, your father and I were college classmates. So tell us about the product in detail. Don't miss anything? If what your dad told me is true, then it will be very beneficial to our country."

Ajay nodded "Yes uncle, Our company made supplements to strengthen the body and brain. There are many targeted medicines to treat disease, but there is no medicine to strengthen the whole body. So Our company researched in this stream. We made 4 products and categorised them into 4 different grades namely C, B, A and S. The first three are all for civilians and can strengthen both body and brain. But the last S grade is for military purpose and this is most potent medicine."

"What is the effect of the product?" Chief engineer Shravan Kumar asked Ajay.

Ajay nodded and started to explain "It can help a person to reach the human limit with exercise in 1 to 1.5 years while consuming the product daily."

"What! so powerful." Chief engineer Shravan Kumar exclaimed.

"Really, if it is so powerful, then our soldiers will become very powerful." Captain Nagesh also made an expression of disbelief.

"In what way the body and brain are strengthened?" Colonel heard from Ajay's father about the product, so he was still calm and asked about the real effects.

"Well, It can reach the limit of strength, agility and reflex. It helps the person to remember things easily and his brain becomes slightly more flexible than before. And our product will be launched in a month. The Nutrition supplement was sent for FSSAI and other required authorities' approval. If nothing goes wrong, then we can launch on the decided date." Ajay explained and also put a few papers on the table in front of the three military officers.

The few papers contain the effects and details of Nutrition supplements. Ajay let his staff write a few details of fake experiments to make the army officers believe.

"Is this real. Are these experiments real?" Army colonel asked in disbelief.

"Yes, uncle." Then Ajay clamped the table in front with his right hand and lifted it up above his head without any discomfort. The table looked very heavy, the legs were made of wood and the table top was of marble stone. It looked more than 30 to 40 kg.

The eyes of the Army officers opened wide in shock. They were looking at the table that was lifted above their head and then Ajay.

"Uncle, this is the effect. Don't believe in those paper results, just believe in what you see."

"Hahaha, that's good, that's good." The three army officers laughed in joy.

Afterwards, they talked about the product and then about different topics. Then the Army colonel asked about the most important thing, "Ajay, what is the price of one box?"

"Uncle, First we set the price at 45000 for one box, but as the military needs to spend a large number of things on other things also, we will sell it for 35000 for one box." Ajay pretended to make a large discount and also raised 5000 Rs from his set price.

"Ajay we appreciate your thought about the military, but 35000 is still a very big amount. So to train 100,000 we need approximately 600 million USD. Can't you reduce? The military can give you some protection or other benefits."

"Benefits Like?" Ajay asked Colonel about benefits.

"Some land acquisition or a military development licence." Ajay's eyes lit up when he heard military development licence.

"Uncle, if you can get me a military development licence, I can reduce 5000 no 7000 Rs per box. I will charge only 28000 per box."

"Ok, I will try to get a military development licence for you from superiors and will tell you as soon as possible."

"Then I thank Uncle in advance. Here is a sample of the S grade Nutrition supplement." Ajay brought a pack of the nutrition supplement with changed packing and gave it to Colonel.

Afterwards, they talked about some things and then ate lunch at the restaurant and then they separated.
