Safe Landing.

"Thank you for the food!" The man said whilst closing the door which he then locked.

Shen Chang was an average student, he braced through college and finally got a job. He did not get any high paying job unlike his peers, he was made fun of at student meeting gatherings. At one point he got sick of it.

A year into the job, his mother and relatives started to match make him with some girls for marriage. Shen Chang never dreamt of being a CEO, driving expensive cars, having trophy wives, he was very much a realist. He knew his bounds and limiting factors.

The only thing left in Shen Chang's life was to get settled. Marry, have a kid or two and grow old. But there was a problem, all the girls wanted to marry a rich guy, nobody was willing to settle. TV Dramas, novels, comics and movies have spoilt women. None of them had any realistic expectations of life anymore, they all now lived in the fantasy that they will find this filial, rich prince charming who will sweep them off their feet.

After a lot of rejections, Shen Chang finally told his parents to stop searching for a bride, he knew they won't be able to find one.

Shen Chang was now two years into the job, he noticed something. He saw that, the government was allocating more money for domestic travel infrastructure in their budget. This made him sure that there will soon be a boom in demand for pilots, both train and plane.

He was a very frugal man, with the money he saved from working 2 years, he got into one the best Pilot Training Institutes in the country and finally became a pilot. His life was now better than ever, his pay skyrocketed and his quality of living also went through the roof. But, he still had no hopes for women. What good is it to marry someone who is after your money?

One day, Shen Chang had to pilot a flight from Imperial City to Solstice City. After the flight landed, he had three days off. While he was shopping for groceries, he came across a woman. She was pretty, same age as him, a native of Solstice City, from a good family, and most of all had realistic expectations on life. They hit off well, Shen Chang fell for her the moment she told him she had a savings account for her kids' future.

After a year of dating, they finally decided to get married. Tomorrow was the big day, Shen Chang was happy. After this flight to Solstice City, he had asked for a week off. He booked a small venue and invited only those necessary.

In the flight, he ordered a bowl of spicy noodles, he was in a good mood after all.

"It's finally here, my big day. Huh? Haha, I'm so happy I almost forgot that I had a co-pilot and locked the door, where did he go? Well, he'll knock when he comes. I'll eat until then." Shen Chang thought.

He looked at the aromatic noodles, took his chopsticks and started to eat.

"Grughhhh.. Gukkhh.."

Shen Chang suddenly could not breath. He was suddenly scared and confused, he unconsciously started to make sounds.

"What's happening to me? Why can't I breath?"

It was only then he realized, that he was choking on the noodles that he was eating.

He started to struggle like a fish thrown out of water, he wanted to reach the door, but it was too late. The plane's altitude needed to be adjusted.

Now, the plane jumped and is starting to lose altitude.

He wanted to scream from the top of his lungs, but he couldn't even breath

"Shit! I'm sorry my passengers, I'm such a pathetic idiot. I'm sorry my wife, who is waiting for me and also the family of the passengers. To think I'd be killing you by choking on noodles, I hope you forgive me."

Shen Chang started to lose consciousness, his eyes were suddenly heavy. He was on the floor, he had given into fate, given up all hope.

"THUD"

"Oh no, he's losing it"

Suddenly a young and handsome man broke open the cockpit door and came rushing in.

"What's happening to him.. this.. he's choking on noodles?"

Long Tian did not know if he should laugh or cry.

'We were going to die not because of explosives or missiles or hijacks, but because of noodles?'

Long Tian soon used his [God of Medicine] skills and with all his strength hit Shen Chang on his chest.

"Blergh" Shen Chang spit out all the noodles and started to pant heavily.

"Thank you, many many thanks, you saved not only me, but also all the other passengers, thank you." He said.

"Captain!" Almost all the plane staff, including the co-pilot rushed in and exclaimed with worry.

"I'm fine, let's get to landing the plane first!" Shen Chang said.

The plane soon landed in Solstice City International Airport.
