My Pirate System
To hunt down the Gods and snatch their powers, I embarked on a journey to loot the world. Allies? Foes? I need none. But making allies? Ha… I will make allies for sure, but they won’t have my trust. They will only be my pawns! [Warning: A bit slow paced, mc only gets system in chap 21. Aggressive progress after that. ]
Time To Exit The Dungeon
"What kind of penalties will I receive exactly, Lord Pruth?", Shiro asked.
He wanted to be sure before taking any further steps.
"Well, boy, it's simple…"
"Something else that is important to you will be taken until everything is compensated."
"Let's say I reduce the charge by 1%. This means every year you have to pay me 9% of gold coins."
"As for the remaining 1%, something else that belongs to you will be taken. The thing will be of the same worth as the 1% of the gold coins.", Pruth explained.
This made Shiro realize that in the end, he had to give up something in order to gain something.
He recalled a saying that Damion had said long back - "Nothing is free in the world. You have to pay in order to get something."
Even now, that stood true.
Shiro nodded his head as he thought about this.
While giving something else didn't sound that bad, he wasn't sure what that other thing would be.
