Chapter 78

After a while of nothing serious or dangerous happening, I relaxed a bit and thought of why they wanted us to be scared. I was softly humming a song my mother usually sang to me back then, when a gaint bird zoomed over our head, the noise it made as it flew over and the wind left in its wake, made our footstep unsure on the ground. It led to us falling down after each other, the impact of hitting the ground hurt my shoulder a bit and worsened when the person behind me fell on me. I moaned and tried rolling over in pain but he was not budging or moving.

The next thing I knew was that, I found myself rolling down. I guess where we fell down was sort of a slide which was steep, we were hanging on its edge, the person at the front whilt trying to stand up after the fall, due to it was dark and he was not aware of his surroundings slipped off the edge and because we were all connected to each other, we were dragged with him automatically. I kept hitting different parts of my body on rocks and stones lying on the way,

We were shouting as it seemed never ending, I banged my head on one of the rocks, with the continuous movement, I felt dizzy like I could black out at any time. I only hoped that the others not attached to us , did not fall with us but were able to stop themselves on time. After what seemed like a lifetime, we finally came to a stop and were heaped on each other. Nobody made a move to get up due to the pain. We heard the masters voice from the top shouting down to us

"Stand up and come back so we can continue," he told is bored. Even if he could not see what we went through, he would have heard our screams. He did not ask if we were alright or injured, he just wanted us to climb up and meet them at the top.

We all tried standing up but it seemed the man behind me, twisted his ankle, he could not put pressure on it, everytime he tried standing up, he fell back down with a scream, this also affected me because as I was close to him anytime he went down, I had no choice but to go along with him and the others were dragged down also.

"Since our eyes are tied together, it is safe to say we can not get to the top, also judging from the length of our Fall, this place is really steep, it is impossible to get out from here especially with one of is injured" one of the men said. I did not recognize his voice but knew it came from my left. We were obviously stranded, would any of them risk their lives and come down to help us now?
