Chapter 433

I walked back gracefully, well as graceful as I could back to my position. I felt so ashamed that I could even cry, but I did not want to embarrass myself the more. If it turns out that this does not go in my favor at the end of it, I am ready to end it all. They were still deciding if they should hear her demand, and I was growing annoyed by the minute. How could they take so much time just to decide if they should hear her request, I am very sure that they would take a longer time to decide if they should grant whatever absurd request that she is about to ask for.

I was definitely hanging on a precipice, if anyone comes close to me right now in my state of mind, I would start crying. I just needed something that would actually justify the tears and not make me seem like a crybaby. I kept taking in deep breath and letting it out shakily, my stomach and lips were both quivering and I could bet that my eyes were glassy. I was already at the verge of tears, I just needed something to make me let it all out,

"Although this is not normal, but then again, nothing about this is normal, so I have decided to hear your request " I do not know why but I get the feeling that the eldest elder while in his application of the law is lenient,

He wants to ensure that all the bases are covered before he makes a decision, which is, he just wants to ensure he hears from all sides equally. So also her demands, would also add to how he would judgement he would give at tye end if it all. Although the final power automatically lies on the people in trials like this to ensure it is carried out fairly, he would also state his observation and what he would have decided if it was left up to him. Sometimes this side remarks made by him would also sway the decision of the people, but that was not his intentions,

"I already know that it would not end well for me, but I have made peace with that and I am ready to accept whatever punishment would be dashed out to me without pleading my case"  after saying that, she turned towards the people and backed the Elders,

We were all curious about her request, it was obvious that she does not want to be pardon from her statement. She knelt and placed her head on the ground, we were all shocked. A lot of people stood up automatically at her actions, because she was of a higher rank and also regarded as a mini supernatural being, it was very wrong for her to be in such lowly position. There were murmuring going about and some of the strong minded people, went towards her to get her to stand up immediately.
