Third person POV
Then, at 5:56 p.m., they went to a place called the Yatani Masukushi Tamahiko Shrine, a historical shrine in the city. There they entered in, and once again, Taro explained to them about it. Hoshi and his group were amazed at Taro's knowledge of the place and listened attentively. Once they got the basic information of the place, they took pictures of it with permission from the caretakers. Bokuto had the least number of pictures taken while Hoshi had the most. Why? Because Bokuto doesn't like too many photos on his smartphone, while Hoshi likes details much, so he took pictures from different angles. Sha and Saki are respectful, so they pay their respects there.
Everything seem to be going good and quiet. But, suddenly, the ground beneath them shook, and some yokai burst into the overworld in violence. They are the Gashadokuros!
"What the…?" Hoshi gets out of the way, alongside his group.
They managed to get out before getting hurt by those skeleton monsters, who are there to attack the shrine and kill people.
The people there, including the caretakers, began running for their lives.
But some of the became unlucky, and they were yanked and devoured by the bony monsters.
Those yokai are, indeed, huge, and surpass the height of any room in the shrine compound.
That means they destroyed the parts of the place, causing devastation of despair among the regular visitors and caretakers alike.
"No…"
"It was a historical site!" cried one of the caretakers.
But then, amidst the chaos, Hoshi and his group, amidst the chaos, won't let this keep going and cause more destruction and bloodshed. So, Hoshi held his kunai knife, and Kuro manifested through him, transforming the knife into Blade and activating his grey eye, before lunging at one of the bony monsters. Saki transformed her pen, which is actually a mage's staff, and began firing magic at them. Bokuto guides the visitors and caretakers out of the place as most of them begin dialing their phones to call the emergency services. Some, however, were injured while others were completely devoured by the bony yokai, leaving only splattered blood on the ground and walls. Sha unsheathed his sword and joined Kuro in the fight against the Gashadokuros. Taro, knowing what to do, quickly pulled out his pistol with Negative Energy bullets and started firing at the monsters, weakening them severely. The books were right all along.
The fight is intense. The four of them are doing their best to destroy the monsters before they would cause more destruction and carnage. But, they were unaware that those bony monsters had also burst and attacked other shrines in the city, too.
