Chapter 31: In the Wolf’s Den
Hailey’s POV
It's not long before Owen and Sebastian manage to join us. The seriousness on Owen's face disappears slightly at the sight of me, and as if it's the most natural thing in the world, he smiles as he intertwines his fingers with mine. His touch feels as natural as breathing and I feel the warmth rise in my skin as a slight smile escapes my lips.
He looks up at me and his expression says it all, how relieved he is to find me waiting for him and at the same time how worried he is about this whole Alpha versus Alpha thing.
“How did the rest of the meeting go?” Patrick asks as he hands them both bags filled to the top with food. Owen looks at the contents of the packages with surprise, but Sebastian starts eating immediately, as we start walking to the car.
