Old Friend

It is a sunny day, the weather is not that hot but also the wind is breezing through the skin, not affecting Kai as he wears a hoodie and t-shirt underneath when he goes out chilling at the park on the way to his house. Kids can be seen playing on the playgrounds while their parents watch over them and also chatting with their friends on the benches. Most of the parents are women, while a small amount of dad is there playing with their children.

Kai sits on one of the available benches, thinking about what happened yesterday with Rena. The promise he made yesterday makes him realize that that promise is the same as confessing, but does he like her? He doesn't know. One thing that he is sure of is he will make sure that she's happy.

Lost in thought, someone is approaching him with a big smile. "Hey, Kai! Why are you so gloomy, huh?" A male voice greets Kai that sounds like someone with a rock metal voice. He looks up and sees a young man around the same age with tanned skin, blonde hair, wearing sunglasses, a Hawaiian shirt, wearing light blue shorts and slippers. "...Hmm? Oh, Jake. How are you? How long has it's been since the last time we met? Two years?" He ignores Jake's question and distracts him with another question.

He notices something is wrong with him but decides not to persuade anything as he looks like he doesn't want to talk about it. "...Three years. After the death of your parents, you decided to drop college and live with your sister, and I'm sorry for your loss. You had great parents. You should know that." Kai just nods. "...Brush off that sad face! I heard that you've become a streamer. You're quite famous then, my man! So, how much many did you make, I bet a lot right?"

"Shut up. Why would I tell you the amount of money I make, huh?" He is in a good mood now and just play along with him blabbering.

"Ow, don't be like that. We homies! We share everything. Money, fame, women, and I bet a lot of bitches have been surrounding you since then." *Wink*

"Hahaha, no. And stop calling women, bitches. If any of them heard whatever you called them, bet that you'll end up on the hospital's bed." He's joking as if he knows that women in this neighborhood are really strong. They really are.

"Hahaha, sorry, sorry. *Look at his watch* Oh, I have to go to attend some business. I'll call you when I have time to hang out with you, oh and the boys are still together. We can call everyone and loiter at the bar, Bye!" He left while waving at Kai with a big smile and a piece of cigarette in his mouth. Wait... When did he take out that thing? Kai thought.

You never change, Jake, after three years you're still the same and I hope you stay like that. Boys... I thought after my leave the group will be dispatched and everyone will pursue their dreams. Looks like I'm wrong, again. I can't wait to meet you them.

Meanwhile at Rina's house...

"R-Rika-Chan, we're supposed to do homework together! Can't you stop reading my manga and help me?"

"Hmm? But I'm already finished my homework. I come here to hang out with you, but since you are not done yet, I've got no choice other than kill my time with reading."

Rina and Erika are currently in her room after she texts her that she wants to go to her house. She misunderstood her intentions and happily agreed to have her come. It's been 10 minutes since Erika came into her room.

"Eh..., I thought you said you want to do it together???" Her brain cannot process the idea of Erika finishing her homework earlier as she has never done it before. It is not like she doesn't want to, but the idea of annoying a certain teacher makes her feel satisfied. That particular teacher always got on her nerves and constantly tried to get her expelled without any clear reason. She didn't tell her brother as she doesn't want to further burden him with her problem. I have to be independent, too! Big bro has always supported me, even sacrificing his time for the sake of my happiness. This time, I'll not ask for big bro's help, me alone. Of course, she knows that already but she wants her to admit her feeling, and also to make sure that she is ready when the time comes.

"W-whaaaa~! Is it so obvious? Mhmapsuvowdsiys! (All gibberish)." *Blushing* *Cover her face with hands* "I-I'm sorry if I have f-feeling for your brother, but I can't stop b-blushing whenever I s-see him." With a smile on her face, she asks, "It's okay, but I wonder what you see in him that makes you like him? I mean, sure he has money but what?" She tilts her head to the right a little.

"H-he always nice to me, he pats my head when I'd done something nice, t-treat me a strawberry ice cream one time, and... take me to the park when big sister is not home and bla, bla, bla..." She keeps saying every nice thing he had done to her and even Erika can't stand all the nice things she mentions about him, feeling weird.

"Is that all? Wow, I never thought that he treat other people like that. He always being nice to me, so I thought he treats everyone differently but looks like I'm wrong." Shit, it has become harder to make her lose interest in big bro. Why are you so nice, huh? Big bro?

"B-but, that's not the main reason I like him in the first place. H-he once saved me from being hit by a car when I was about to cross the road."
